Seemingly Overzealous Ice Cream

Love that I’ve found them. The owners are so cute & their ice creams are amazing! Take your date here even if neither of you has dietary restrictions. Promise it’s so good. Love that I get to have cones & sandwiches again without issues. & also get to support local businesses at the same time

Our family vacationed near Charlotte this week and are thrilled to have discovered Seemingly Overzealous. Several of us are gluten free and dairy free, and this is hands down the best ice cream we have ever had. Having the opportunity to order gluten-free flavors such as cookies and cream and chocolate chip cookie dough was a rare treat. Even those in our family without any food allergies thought the ice cream was phenomenal. We drove into town on three separate occasions just to stop by this shop and consistently had a wonderful experience. Maya served us each time and is one of the friendliest people we have ever met. She is an absolute gem, and we looked forward to seeing her each time we came back because she was such a pleasure to work with. Thank you to Maya and the shop owners for making our visit to Charlotte such a positive and memorable experience!

Seemingly Overzealous in plaza is such a good ice cream spot. The flavors are super rich and creative, and you can tell everything is made with a lot of care. The ice cream is smooth, not too sweet, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. It’s also hard to find good ice cream that’s gluten free and actually safe for people with celiac, so I really appreciated how accommodating and careful they were. On top of that, the young workers there are a treat to talk to!! they’re friendly, patient, and actually seem excited to be there. One girl in particular was so kind and helpful, which really stood out and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d keep coming back to.

I come to the plaza midwood location about twice a week with my 4 kids. The flavors are so fun and unique and the store always looks so clean and sanitary. My oldest son Tylik loves the cookies and cream flavor and he loves getting a little rubber ducky out of the vending machine every time. He has grown such a big collection! This sweet young girl named Sophie is usually working and always makes conversation with my family and I and asks how we are doing. Highly recommended!

The best ice cream (dairy-free or otherwise) in Charlotte! Love popping into this location while hanging out at Camp North End, it's such a treat.

If they didn’t tell me it was gluten free, dairy free, and vegan I wouldn’t have believed it. It’s a little pricey but absolutely delicious!

So I’m not gonna lie I was pretty skeptical to try this ice cream because I saw dairy free gluten-free and immediately thought what kind of ice cream is going to satisfy my sweet tooth when you’re taking away all the guilty pleasures, but it was actually pretty good. I had the “I need someone to feed” ice cream, which was comprised of brown sugar cinnamon. It pretty much taste like cinnamon toast crunch, but just an ice cream form. I had it on a waffle cone and it was such a nice treat after a long work day. Prices were not too crazy. They offer an array of other options which also have really cool creative names. I definitely can’t wait to try some other flavors, but it’s definitely worth the hype so next time I don’t judge ice cream shop by its name or offerings. Definitely check them out for yourself!

This was the best experience! Someone who is gluten free, I never thought I’d find a gluten and dairy free ice cream shop. Grant served us our ice cream and was so delightful. We loved every moment of this, including the gluten free waffle cone!!!

My favorite vegan ice cream ever, I’m so glad this place exists in charlotte. If I ever left charlotte this is one of the only places I would really miss. Their ice cream is not only dairy and gluten free but also just perfection. I’ve tried everything from ice cream to sammies to their most recent ice cream cake! I missed being able to eat ice cream cake and it’s such a delight to be able yo enjoy this. Thanks for making the best ice cream ever- P.S please make legendary dunks a permanent flavor 🥰

Just left. The young girl - brown hair with the blue apron needs food safety training. Moving your hair back with gloves on and making people’s cones is not sanitary at all. No handwashing and not friendly. The cashier saved some of our experience with friendly service.

I had the absolute best experience with Seemingly Overzealous!! I was in a bind needing a cake last minute. The shop was easy to get a hold of, I talked with a real person right away, and they were so beyond friendly in finding a way to help me out when I needed a cake in a pinch! The communication was great and payment was easy. I'm so so thankful for the flexibility! GREAT small business feel and beyond happy to support them
