Seemingly Overzealous Ice Cream

Good ice cream, good prices, good spot. There was a good variety of flavors It’s great spot to be at in Camp North End. Staff were nice.

This place is AMAZING!!! You have no idea how nice it is for someone with gluten and dairy issues to be able to walk into a place and be able to order absolutely anything! Even their waffle cone is gluten free and it’s incredible! This is my go to place for ice cream and there isn’t even a close second. Let’s not bring up Je**i’s overpriced slop 🤣. And now that they are close to being open in Dilworth, I know exactly where I’ll be!

For so long, I dreamed of a place where I could indulge in one of my favorite ice creams. But alas, my lactose and gluten intolerance made that quite the challenge. So you can imagine my delight when Seemingly Overzealous stepped onto the scene. Eat bite is pure bliss, the branding is on point and the staff brings a little extra joy to my day whenever I visit. It’s obvious Jess and Garrett are passionate about what they do, and I’m forever grateful they brought SO to the Charlotte community. Get yourself there ASAP, you won’t regret it!

After seeing this place pop up on IG and watching one of the ice creams be made, I was so excited to give it a try! I mean come on, it’s rare (pretty sure non existent) to find this array of gluten/dairy free options that looked and sounded so good. So call me crazy but at 1pm on a Saturday I saw their IG reel of a new flavor and within minutes I was in my car to drive the HOUR AND A HALF it took to get there. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! It was made even better when I was able to get a gluten free waffle cone. I literally had no other plans in Charlotte than to get ice cream and drive an hour and a half home. Oh and the floors of the location I went to were sparkly… this place seriously goes all out on the vibe, the product and even the staff was dope. I’ve had so many disappointing df/gf ice creams but this was most certainly not one of them. 15/10 on the experience :)

I am addicted to their ice cream cookie sandwiches. I always buy two so I can keep an emergency one in the freezer haha. My fav staple ice cream flavor is their version of cookies and cream. They also have really fun seasonal flavors! My favorite was the carrot cake…totally mind blowing and I regret not stocking up on pints of it. The mouthfeel of this ice cream is awesome; they really nailed having a creamy dairy free ice cream. The branding and marketing this company does is on point and really well executed. I’m so happy to have a fun, locally owned spot like this in Charlotte. Places like this elevate the whole city with their unique offerings! Thank you!

I was exploring Camp North End when I stumbled upon Seemingly Overzealous. The staff was friendly, decor was fun and well done, and the ice cream was exceptional—creamy with inventive flavors with quirky name. I couldn't resist picking up a T-shirt as a memento. It wasn't until I got home and excitedly checked out their website that I learned everything is dairy-, egg-, and gluten-free. The quality and flavor were so impressive that I wouldn't have known otherwise. I only wish I lived in North Carolina to enjoy it more often! Highly recommend and will be back when I’m in the area

Even though I’m normally not a huge ice cream fan, I love this shop as they always have fun flavors, delicious ice cream sandwiches and my girlfriend loves it as she doesn’t have to worry about the consequences of dairy. The small personal touches from the art to the waffle cone chips to the coin machines for sprinkles just make visiting the store a delight each time. I notice something new that makes me smile each time I visit.

My wife and I have been to both locations a few times and never been disappointed! All great flavors, mind-blowing that everything is gluten free, dairy free, and egg free so neither one of us have to stress about which flavors we can have or not. AND WE GET TO EAT THE CONE!!! Thank you so much for everything you do!!! We live in Mooresville, but any time we come to Charlotte, we make sure to stop by.

Seriously good ice cream that is all dairy free so you won't feel terrible after. Every flavor is amazing, but don't miss "I needed someone to feed" or "a scoop of self doubt."

Cute little ice cream shop for a date night. Flavors were all amaIng and different. We got the Ube cheese cake and maple brown sugar. 10/10. Fresh waffle cones too. AMAZING customer service which honestly made the whole experience better. Will be a regular at this spot !!!!

This place serves magic. I am blown away by their flavor profiles, their adventurous names, and how they make Dairy free ice cream taste even more delicious than regular ice cream! I have never been disappointed, nor has anyone else I’ve taken to grab a cone with me! So excited to watch them grow next month and can’t wait to see what flavors they have in store for us!?✨?✨?

Absolutely love this place. First of all Garrett and Jess are the best humans, true community builders and this place is teeming with thoughts and details to make you think twice about your feelings in a sweet and thoughtful way. Every ice cream flavor I’ve tried is delicious. Their mint chocolate chip is the best in the world, dairy or no dairy, bar none. It’s the perfect balance of minty, chocolate chunks and not too sweet. They travel the world tasting ice cream to bring back to the Queen City.. come on, how lucky are we?! You can’t go wrong with any flavor and supporting this amazing small, local business!

delicious vegan ice cream in camp northend. they have unique flavors, and i got one inspired by south asian flavors. but seriously they have the most incredible service! and free stickers :)

BEST ICE CREAM IN CHARLOTTE hands down. My boyfriend and I had them twice. The second time we came, they were closed and the owner or manager was there. She opened the door and was the sweetest soul EVER. She served us and was such a genuine human.
Plus the ice cream is amazing. It’s not too sweet. It’s flavorful. Great quality.
Will be back when I’m in town!
