I usually love this place and come here often, but today (Jan 9, 2026) at the Waverly , Charlotte NC location I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a Dubai chocolate mocha and was given the wrong drink. When I politely asked about it and even apologized for any misunderstanding, the employee (Asian female at the counter) insisted I was wrong, rolled her eyes, and walked away. Mistakes happen, but the attitude was extremely unprofessional. Hoping management addresses this, as it’s not the service I’m used to here.

This review is for 2 BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL workers: Sophie and Christian. I come here about every day and ANY time they are there they go above and beyond and set the absolute gold standard for service. Both always remember what you normally get, are always so warm and always make your day better, I have been to locations all over the COUNTRY from both coasts and they set the BEYOND gold standard. I hope these partners are considered for formal recognition or internal awards, as this level of service is exceptional and so rare and special!!!!!! Sophie and Christian, your efforts NEVER go unnoticed thank you for being you!

I had a very disappointing experience at this location today. I ordered a shaken espresso through the drive-thru, but after waiting quite a while, I was told to drive around and park in the front so someone could bring out my drink. When the drink was finally brought out, there was no straw. I politely mentioned that I needed one, expecting she might have one with her but instead, I was told, “They’re inside if you want it go get it.”

The entire point of using the drive-thru is convenience, especially when you’re on your way to work and don’t have time to get out of the car. This response was unhelpful and dismissive. I hope management addresses this and reinforces better customer service, as this experience was far below the standard I’ve come to expect from Starbucks.

I placed a mobile order and went in to pick it up. As I was leaving, an employee said “Thank you, have a good day.” I responded by saying “Thank you, you too!” I guess he didn’t hear my response and replied “Or not, whatever!” I felt this was very rude, hurtful, and unprofessional. I always try to treat people with kindness and although he may not have heard me, that wasn’t an appropriate comment to a customer.

DO NOT ORDER BEVERAGES FROM THIS LOCATION!!! Every time I order a drink from this location it is loaded down with ice or half drink and half foam. Then some of the employees have the nerve to get upset when you don’t tip. Why would I tip for horrible product or service ???

They have been closed off and on over the last year every 2 months or so. Gets really frustrating to try to stop to use the bathroom or have a business meeting only to find out the entire place is closed and you're going to have to hurry up and find a backup plan. Not sure why they keep closing their cafe every two months but it's a little ridiculous
