Update: Walked back in with my husband to get chai teas after walking around dilworth, 2 of the ladies were so nice and greeted us, but then the SAME mean girl with the dark hair had her back turned and literally started whispering to her co worker as we stood there waiting and it was obviously about us because the girl turned her head and looked at us and looked away. So, definitely not coming back to this location, if not any Starbucks for a long time. Also Backyard brew is down the street and all their drinks are amazing.
So hopefully I can write a good review in the future if I can ever walk into this Starbucks again, my husband and I always have the best experiences at most Starbucks and decided to pop into this one while our dog was at the groomer. We walked in and the two girls with dark hair at the front looked at each other like “oh great we have to take another order” as if we walked into their house unannounced. we felt awkward right away. We started to order thinking it would get better but it didn’t, they were so rude, the one girl had a mask and mumbled and we could barely understand her she was so miserable and rude, the other one just gave us mean girl dirty looks, I actually have second hand embarrassment for them because they chose to get a job here so you have to have some level of respect and customer service, we ordered and the girl gave so much attitude that we just canceled and walked out. Hopefully they find a job where they actually understand what they signed up for. As a someone who has worked at multiple customer service jobs, you usually appreciate nice people coming in to order rather than rude ones. There is another one down the street with excellent customer service, I feel like their coffee and products cost too much to give money to two people with bad energy. I’m not paying to be treated like I’m not human.

My wife and I stopped in while our dog was being groomed around the corner.
I’d been to this location prior and it was always great. It’s a beautiful location.
Today, as soon as we walked in, it felt like we were trespassing on someone’s private property. No acknowledgment when we walked in and the woman cashing us out was over-the-top rude. She was wearing a mask and was barely speaking. Usually you’ll at least get a “what can we get for you” to start and then some level of acknowledgement throughout ordering like “ok, got it”.
I really hate leaving 1-star reviews and just gave a 5-star to another Starbucks in Uptown the other day. We usually go to the NoDa location and they are some of the friendliest people on this planet, so all in all, we love Starbucks and 99% of the time have pleasant experiences. That’s what makes this one all the more disappointing.

this sbux is AWESOME! it's so cute inside and cozy and inviting! everyone there is so friendly! jackie was the sweetest barista and she even offered to remake my drink if i didn't end up liking it (which i did like it! i love matcha!) and jo was also super friendly as well with such a bright attitude! i've never been to this sbux prior to this but this is my new home sbux now! great staff! super clean! quick service! ＼(^_^)／
This Starbucks is the best, hands down! The friendly staff, amazing service and great coffee/food along with the most amazing manager, Amy. She is always welcoming, leads by example and her professionalism is stellar. I always look forward to my experience.
