This was an interesting experience. We really enjoyed the Spice Apple Auga Frescus and the chicken egg roll. The salads were very fresh and appealing. Where we got our let down was a dessert. We ordered the Black Bottom Pecan pie. The pie was colder than the ice cream on top. We couldn't tell if it was frozen or just that cold. We asked for coffee in hopes to warm of the experience only to find out they had none.
Really good experience! Wish the lights wouldn't have been so bright inside since it was Saturday dinner! Food was really good. Service was really good and the bill was cheaper than expected!! Will be back
I was pleasantly surprised at my experience. The service staff and manager(black guy) were all excellent!
We are from Raleigh and were in town to visit our grandchild. As I was searching for places to eat I saw this place with the unique name and wanted to try it...plus, they serve gater bites and we love eating gater when it's offered. They were lite, chewable (some we've tried have been almost rubbery!), and crispy outside. They were served with a thousand island type dip. Very enjoyable. I ordered had a marinated wood-grilled chicken patty served with a fire-roasted vegetable medley: huge chunks of carrots that, zucchini, onions & green peppers. Very good!! Also chose/served with red beans and rice. My wife shrimp po' boy sandwich (fried shrimp on a roll with lettuce, tomato, and mayo) with "hand cut" (but too salty) fries. I ate half, and it tasted good. We were glad we tried it out.
Went one evening and everything was horrific. Steak skewers were extremely fatty. Ceviche was served with 4 plantains to eat with? On top of the inconsistent flavors, textures…overall everything was bad quality
Great food and Great service.

First time here visiting from Atlanta to celebrate our nieces engagement. We sat on the rooftop. Food was delicious. Laid back atmosphere and service was top tier. Jay and Kay made our visit exceptional! If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be back and hope one of these great employees is on the clock. Great vibes all around! 🍭

EXCEPTIONAL! Im a foodie and a customer service snob! Good food and good service matters!!! I wish they had more stars!!!! State of confusion is off the charts! This restaurant has the best ceviche, chimichurri, skirt steak, brunch, cocktails and so many other delicious food items!!! THE SERVICE is phenomenal! Today was my son’s 21st birthday and Jay and Kay went over and beyond to accompany our party of 15-20! They truly treated us like family. The manager was very kind as well and he’s pretty crafty on the cocktails! State of Confusion should be in the list of places to go! If you haven’t been, you’re missing out!
