Samuel was absolutely incredible. We went for my 30th birthday with 5 other friends and the food and atmosphere was fantastic. Samuel recommended incredible sides and drinks and made our experience the best birthday dinner we’ve ever had. Will be back 100%.

Food is incredible. We ordered the tomahawk for 4 people and it was perfect for sharing . I’d say order 1 maybe 2 appetizers and you’ll be fine. We had the beignets before the steak just to get us going . Killer cocktails too!

We held our company event there. We had a great time. The staff was awesome. Drinks were amazing. Dinner was excellent and so we're the sides. The hanger steak was a favorite. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful atmosphere with exceptional service & food. We've dined here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is extremely attentive, knowledgeable and always pleasant. We have tried several items on the food selection as well as their excellent cocktails and never been disappointed. We had an issue with a gift card (most likely my fault??) but they addressed it promptly and with total satisfaction. They are truly focused on their customer. I highly recommend and look forward to future visits!

We dined at The Crunkleton for a special occasion and had a mixed experience overall.

To start with the positives: customer service was solid. We did not have a reservation and understood that there are no online reservations available, so a wait was expected. While we did wait to be seated, the staff handled the situation professionally and courteously. Once at the table, our servers were attentive, accommodating, and clearly made an effort to provide good service. The atmosphere was also enjoyable—lively, upscale, and appropriate for a higher-end dining experience.

Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations, particularly given the price point.

We waited close to an hour for our tomahawk steak, which was understandable due to its thickness and preparation time. However, when it arrived, it was cooked closer to rare than the medium we requested. While it was technically between rare and medium rare, it leaned noticeably under the desired doneness. More importantly, the flavor itself was underwhelming. For a $180 steak, the expectation is a standout, memorable dish. It simply wasn’t. The taste did not justify the cost, and we have had significantly better steaks elsewhere.

We also ordered several glasses of wine. The wine itself was enjoyable, and we understand pricing varies by establishment; however, the overall cost further elevated expectations for the meal as a whole—expectations the food ultimately did not meet.

The staff did kindly provide complimentary pie for a birthday, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. Unfortunately, the dessert itself was not particularly impressive and did little to elevate the overall experience.

In total, our bill approached $300. At that level, the experience—especially the steak—should feel exceptional from start to finish. While the service and atmosphere were strong, the execution of the main dish fell short of what the price and reputation suggest.Very disappointed in this establishment , one that chosen for a special occasion—we expected an experience that felt cohesive, memorable, and worthy of the cost.

Crunkleton is probably our favorite brunch spot in CLT! Why is that…the beignets!!! They are out of this world. Other brunch items are also equally delicious. We will be back.

The best experience ever!! The best tasting food, every bite!!
Our son took us for our anniversary. We were greeted warmly and waited maybe 10 minutes for our reservation. Our server Natasha was warm and kind and made sure our every need was taken care of. We met most of the staff and everyone was very kind. We started with the duck flatuas. They were so delicious! Next we had two orders of chicken wings and a bowl of fries that was equally delicious and then an order of shushito peppers. I'd never had them and they were great. For our dinner I had the wagyu burger cooked to absolute perfection. My husband and son had the wagyu flat iron with the wonderful and very tasty glazed carrots. Our dessert was biegnets and apple crumble. OMG you have to have the biegnets!! EVERYTHING was to absolute perfection. We received a card signed by the staff for our congratulations for our anniversary. A perfect night was had by us all.
Thank you Crunkleton Charlotte !!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was thoroughly impressed by the cuisine and the hospitality. The Tomahawk steak is a standout choice for groups, offering both incredible flavor and a great shared dining experience. We were able to share it among 4 people with an additional shared appetizer and it was the perfect amount of food.

Only recommendation is that reservations are hard to get at times so plan ahead! It may also be possible to snag a seat at the bar or patio which seem to be first come first!
