Expirence was fine until my friend decided to lay her head down at the bar. It was around 1am. We are from out of town and just met new friends we werent ready to leave yet; the bouncer randomly comes up to us and screams she has to leave and forcefully grabs her and dragged her chair to the door. We ask if we can atleast wait for out uber he says no "she cant be on premesis" so he drags her to the other side of the gate on the sidewalk and she has to lean on a plant. Once our uber is 3 min away she goes to sit on the patio chair to wait; the bouncer then comes back and forcefully grabs her by the arm and takes her 4 feet away to the other side of the fence. It would have been fine if we were respectfully just asked to leave and said we could wait outside. But for a grown man to grab a woman who poses NO Threat to anyone while other bouncers are questioning why he's acting in that way is disturbing. It was clearly an act of power and was weird on his part.

Went here for a quick drink and meal. Cheap for uptown, small inside area but good service. I got a chicken Caesar wrap which was great, fries and a moscow mule. Would recommend if you’re looking for a casual bar with food in uptown.

I ordered from here and I was charged for drinks I never received and my wrap was saturated. Unfortunately, I’ve tried to reach out to the restaurant multiple times to be refunded for $12 in beverages that I never got, but it’s nearly impossible to get a phone call answered.
One of my favorite bars to head to on the weekend if I'm uptown before or after an event. Not the best seating during those times but never had any issues with the security or bartenders. Drinks are very reasonable and the food is pretty good also. We generally grab some wings and fries but they have other typical bar food available.

My third time here and not sure why this place is called “The Local”. When I hear local, I think friendly and welcoming. All three times we have come here, the bar tenders (a different one each time), have all have really rude attitudes. Like they can’t be bothered. We came once and it was really busy. Last two times were slow week days after work. The girl bar tending this time was the worst. Couldn’t recommend a drink. My bf asked for a Copper draft. All she did was shake her head. Asked for Yuengling draft. Shook her head no. Do he had to ask if they have it in a bottle. She’s says yeah. He asks for a menu. There it is on the menu…Copper in a bottle. Couldn’t even say, sorry not on draft but is a bottle ok? So he went to a different bar tender and got his Copper. You’re in the hospitality industry. Act like it. You work for tips.
