I love Vivace!! The service and ambiance is amazing not to mention the scrumptious food. The brunch is the best and $2 mimosas! I want to give a big Thank You to Kevin, the GM, he always greets me with a smile and makes sure my experience is top notch.

I was starving and thought let me try Vivace since i'm right across the street. It was about 4 pm and the restaurant was not very busy. I was surprised how the inside looks. I could tell it looked nice at the beginning of the day, however the floors needed to be vacuumed desperately. There were some cushions that were torn pretty badly, where I wouldn't want to sit on. The service was really impeccable. It took a little bit of time to be greeted, but usually that time of day staff is short. She was really amazing though and knew the menu well. I decided on meatballs and calamari. The calamari was just what I wanted, crispy traditional and the pieces were big. This is a great serving for 2-4 people easily. I personally would have liked marinara as well. The meatballs came 3 to an order and were good in size. They were cold tho, and the sauce was cold. That's unfortunate because I feel like if it were hot it would have tasted better. Looking over the menu, this is a pricy place and based on just today I don't think I would come back.

Food here here is solid. Came for friends birthday and Josh the GM was as good to us as any restaurant host I've ever met. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great meal and get treated like royalty.

What happened to this place? I knew we should've walked out the moment our hostess looked like she just rolled out of bed wearing a hooded sweatshirt and flip flops. Food took forever despite 4 cooks in the open kitchen and only 5 occupied tables probably due to all 4 cooks disappearing at the same time, standing around doing nothing for long stretches and coming out to chat with diners. Turned out 2 of the 5 occupied tables were friends of the staff. The chef only visited the friends of staff tables. Our hostess in the hooded sweatshirt proceeded to sit down and eat dinner at one table while another diner at that table acted as his own waiter. Really bizarre and unprofessional behavior. Our server seemed to be trying despite the mess around her. Food was pretty bland and not very good. Atmosphere was train wreck bad thanks to staff that look like they're waiting for the place to go out of business.

What happened to Vivace? We hadn't been in a while and as soon as we walked in we knew something was up. It took 3 hostesses to figure out where to seat us in an empty restaurant. Once we sat down we noticed how dirty the place was and we were some of the first people there. We thought about leaving but decided to stay, we should have left. The food came quickly and after a few bites we stopped eating. The shrimp and grits were bland and wasn't made according to the description. The mushroom frittata looked like a dish sponge and tasted worse. We wished we had gone to Bojangles like the servers did as we watched them eat theirs at the end of the bar. I feel like I remember this place being a really good restaurant with great food and good atmosphere. What happened?? Also those same three hostesses said nothing as we walked past them on the way out. I hate spending my money in a place where it seems like everyone is doing the bare minimum to get by but charging you like they're doing the most.

One of my favorite brunch spots when I'm in Charlotte! When it's warm I love sitting on the outside. I typically book ahead on open table. They have complimentary valet services. I love the fact that they have $2 bloody Mary's and mimosas. If you would like a Flavoring I believe it's .50 for the flavoring for instance if you would like a cranberry mimosa instead of regular. They food never seems to disappoint me. The service is always great! I have the spinach and egg frittata with seasoned fries which is amazing! Everyone that I dined with said the food was good! They talked about how great the Brussels sprouts were.

Yes, Yes, YES I love the atmosphere....staff... FOOD AND DRINKS. I've been here twice for brunch on Sunday and will definitely be a return customer. The food is delicious and fresh... the Mimosas?? Perfect!! If you are looking for an affordable outing, that doesn't compromise great appearance and extraordinary customer service... it's right here. Whether you sit inside or outside (seating) I'm sure you will be pleased. I took pictures..... check it out!

Saturday night and called for a reservation. Was told only bar tables available. Got to the restaurant and it was half empty. Restaurant remained half empty throughout our meal. Food was OK, some hits and misses. Service was terrible! Wait staff has no clue how to serve a meal or clear and table.....

Just really awful. Ingredients not good, final product barely edible. And $8 for 4 asparagus? I never leave reviews, but felt I needed to for this place. Just don't.

So this was supposed to be a fancy special night! We ordered mussels in a red wine.. I've had delicious mussels and I've had mediocre but I've never had any tasting super fishy. I tried to drown them in the sauce... sadly that only lasted for so long.. finally ordered our entrees and I didn't think it'd get worse. Jokes on me haha the crab ravioli was under cooked.. and the cherry on top is the gelato.. tasted like salty play doh. legit if I tried to make it myself it'd be tastier... hard pass

Had the mussels as an appetizer and they were delicious. My boyfriend got the Pappardelle and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Pasta Rustica and was pretty disappointed. It was supposed to have "spicy" marinara sauce, but tasted pretty similar to sauce from the jar. Not spicy whatsoever. Servers were nice and there was a good atmosphere, but I didn't absolutely love what I chose.

Kevin is AMAZING. He is the GM and made a point to come up to our table to see how our meal was going. Our food was amazing and the drinks were better than any other place in Charlotte. Such a nice crowd I will definitely be back!

We got so lucky having Ariel serve us... so sweet and super attentive considering she is a bartender not a server!! Also the manager Kevin was awesome, checking in and accommodating 7 girls for a birthday brunch- not easy. They made our day. This is my first rating on yelp ever because these two were that good :)

On my first visit, the Bolognese was great. My second visit, they were swinging for the fences, but fell short. The Ceasar salad was plentiful, crisp, cold, with a couple of white anchovies, and with plenty of dressing and shavings of grana padano. It was just a little too vinegary. For my entree, I had the veal saltimboca, which was two small rolatini of veal, cheese and prosciutto, something that's usually served open face and tender, rather than tough. It was served with two house-made ravioli stuffed with mozzarella. I've been fortunate enough to spend a total of a month all over Italy, and I love al dente pasta; but believe me when I say that these ravioli would need to be boiled for another minute or two to be as firm as the firmest pasta in Italy. The flavors of both components were great though. The service was friendly and attentive and the place looks beautiful.

I have been to this establishment before and I recall having pretty decent food, however, my last experience has tainted all of my memories. I went there for a friend's birthday brunch. The party was located upstairs on the patio. I am pretty sure that the bartender was serving all of the guest upstairs and our guest alone. There were at least 15 people on the patio and someone should have been there to support. I placed an order for calamari and a caesar salad. After an hour, no food appeared for the me or the other guests who ordered at the same time. Twenty minutes later, several plates arrived but no calamari or salad. I was becoming a little disgusted at this point, however, the server was very thoughtful. Another 20ish minutes roll by and we were told that there was an issue in the kitchen and now there will be duplicates of the order arriving. Plates flooded the table but still no salad or calamari. At this point I am livid but remaining composed because I am there to celebrate. I took a few bites from someone's extra French toast because I am actually hungry by now! I check again...where is my food? Who had to go fishing for my calamari?? Did some have to go to the garden for my romaine? I was told that it was in the window and I should recieve it soon. A little over two hours of anticipation later...calamari arrives...lukewarm...under seasoned...and down right disappointing. I didn't want it. I tried to share it and other found it unappealing as well. But wait! Where is my salad? The item that doesn't even need to be cooked? In full transparency I wanted that more than the calamari! A manager never came to check on us however some of the food was complimentary for the guest. However, due to my personal experience, I was told that I needed to go downstairs to the host stand on my way out and I would be presented with a gift certificate for a free meal with a guest. Things must be turning around...even though I'm super annoyed now we could probably make up over dinner! We were still wrapping up at the time so I said my goodbyes and revisited the server/bartender who had been so nice to keep champagne flowing amidst the chaos. Although this is a few minutes later, I was given conflicting instructions about how to obtain this complimentary meal. Now, I am asked to provide my name and email address so that I can be contacted. I seemed a little confusing but I was quickly becoming delusional from hunger and champagne so, why not! Much like my salad, I never saw an email. I am disappointed because I have recommended this place to others. I enjoyed my own birthday there a few years ago. #genuinelysad
