This is the walmart version of starbucks. Prices are similar but taste might not worth the price, people used to starbucks might not like it. Also recommend getting a small size first to see if you like the taste. Their food is much better though. I love their matcha latte though

For the most part, service is pretty friendly. However I've seen a girl working there cough with her mouth open while making drinks. She practically coughed into the drink. Another time I saw the same girl working, and she had a long pony tail that was draped over her shoulder. The ponytail kept touching the drinks and things she was preparing. It all seems pretty unsanitary. The food is also pretty bad. The iced drinks barely have any ice in them, and the hot drinks are merely lukewarm. Please do better Thoughtful Cup.

Always takes them forever to make anything unless the area is empty. I've had the coffee here which tasted awful and was sticky (and I'll really drink any coffee so that's saying a lot). Got a lemonade today with Lavender syrup for $5, was served a cup of powder mix lemonade with warm unmixed syrup in the bottom. The wendys in the union will give me a cup twice the size with fresh lemonade and fresh strawberry for $3.

Find the reviews on here about the matcha to be quite strange. As someone who makes matcha at home and drinks it often, I find thoughtful cups matcha latte to be one of the best I have had! Matcha shouldn’t be sweet, so in my opinion thoughtful cup is doing it right! I also ordered the bacon and egg on an everything bagel and it was delicious. As a student I recommend here over going to Starbucks any day.

This place used to be Pete’s when I was constantly in Fretwell during my undergrad and I absolutely hated it. I was definitely nervous to try Thoughful Cup, but it is becoming one of my favorite coffee places in Charlotte! The coffee is always so good and being able to order online is such a big plus. Great service, everyone is always so nice and again, the coffee is so much better than Pete’s - I look forward to days I get to come to campus so I can grab a latte and a croissant here!

I have been going to the thoughtful cup since the beginning the semester and have tried many different drinks! The employees provide recommendation if you cannot decide.. just ask… Unlike starbucks matcha the thoughtful cup matcha does not come sweet and their coffee seem stronger. If you prefer sweet you may want to add more flavor…. just ask if you want specific drink information. They get busy a lot and wait may be 5-15 minutes.

As someone who has worked in coffee shops a long time this place is super disappointing. They barely put ice in your cup and making your ice drink lukewarm, I have no received several pastries I ordered because they were sold to people ahead of me, meaning they should come up with a better system. I ordered a chai and it was so overwhelmingly sweet I could not drink it. I ordered an iced earl grey tea with honey and they put the honey at the bottom of the cup then ice on top and then the tea, the honey isn't even melted or mixed in. I'd recommend mixing everything in a tumbler and then pouring it over ice. Lastly, I ordered a an Iced matcha today and I was handed a cup with 3 cubes of ice and all the matcha sitting at the bottom of the cup. I have no idea what brand of matcha they used but I took 2 sips and threw it away due to nausea from it tasting so bad. I LOVE matcha but what they have is super far off of the mark. The only redeemable thing about this place is that you can grab canned or bottled drinks and get some packaged snacks!
The chocolate croissant the past two times has been disgustingly covered in chocolate. I worked at Starbucks, and we sold the same chocolate croissants. They NEVER got as nasty as this unless someone was deliberately careless. I have no idea how this is possible. Also, the chai tea is not great. It doesn’t taste quality. The workers are nice enough. The chocolate croissant the past two times has been disgustingly covered in chocolate. I worked at Starbucks, and we sold the same chocolate croissants. They NEVER got as nasty as this unless someone was deliberately careless. I have no idea how this is possible. Also, the chai tea is not great. It doesn’t taste quality. The workers are nice enough.

I love thoughtful cup! My co workers and I walk over a few times a month and we all love it. The coffee is delicious, the staff is super sweet, and I just ordered a berry tart and it was one of the best pastries I've ever had. We love this place :)

although the people were nice, I ordered a cold brew with a splash of oat milk and two pumps of sf vanilla, and received a half filled espresso w oat milk, I’d assume they’d fill an order all the way. The atmosphere was cute, but like what even is this?
