This is my second time trying Uptown Yolk and it did not disappoint. I went for brunch and ordered the sangria/margarita (the name is escaping me) and I also ordered the french toast with chicken and added a side of eggs. The chicken was fried and seasoned perfectly! I took some home to my husband and he was disappointed I didn’t bring more. I am also not a french toast girlie but the dolce sauce on the side was a perfect complement to the french toast and fried chicken. My...

The food was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised as I thought Leah and Louise was overrated. I wasn't too sure how I would enjoy the cornmeal waffle as I'd never had something like this but I was great. I had a few crispy outside pieces but I was nice a fluffy on the inside. I will say, I think it would have been nice to have a crispier texture on the entire waffle. The chicken thigh was well seasoned.
I ordered the southern waffle which came with pecans....

I love Uptown Yolk! It’s definitely one of my favorite brunch spots. The food is delicious. I recently tried the sweet potato biscuit and it was amazing! It’s a little frustrating at times how long it takes to be served but the atmosphere and food is always great so I keep going back!
