My daughters..son inlaw live in Charlotte...my hubby and self driving in from out of town to get together for Christmas...left it up to my daughter to choose nice restaurant to have dinner...all was good until we opened the menu! We really expected more from an uptown upscale restaurant as Vivace...but sadly disappointed...hubby is diabetic but we worked with what they had to offer....he ordered a salad with asparagus for his dinner....ugh...his salad came when ours was delivered...so...when our dinner arrived he had a plate with 4 asparagus to eat! We were never offered anymore bread with our food and the wine took as long as the mixed drinks!....for what we paid we expected so much more but sadly it was not to be....my first and last visit!

Had dinner here and it was decent compared to the reviews. I just had a salad and some of the Brussels sprouts but they are some of the best I’ve had in awhile. They complimentary gave us a tray of desserts as well.

This place was very backwards and I thought I was going to an upscale place! But low and behold no not in that reality! Good music and great entertainment! Wink wink( waiter was wearing a half shirt with a full size stomach) have a great day!

Our waitress was amazing, but frankly the food was overpriced, they were out of a good amount of the menu, and there were on 3 tables with people at them. The hostess had sweatpants on...SWEATPANTS. I told them we were meeting our party and she said, "do you just want to go and find them". The place looks run down, very dirty and the staff was sitting in a booth eating, and drinking while the empty tables were full of plates. If you're paying for the ambience of a restaurant, on top of "fine dining"... look elsewhere. Only thing good about this place was our waitress Rosey.

I’ve been frequenting Vivace for about a year. The people and food are second to none. A gem in authentic homemade Italian food with a penchant for sophistication. Kevin, Blythe, Shanell, X, Tremaine, Josh, Rosie and Kyle ensure and amazing service.

I had the French toast and bacon for Saturday brunch and it was decent but nothing to write home about. The $2 Mimosas were nice but the food was pretty regular.

Way too dark inside. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. Food was horrifically over priced or under portioned. I just paid $1.34 per stalk of asparagus that was tough and stringy. The cocktails are weak and overpriced as well. There are no vegetarian options either. The alcohol options out numbered the food options 3 to 1. Omaggios around the corner is a much better option for Italian cuisine. And to top it off the faucet In the men’s room was broken. Once is enough at his place for me.

Tried to book their event space after having gone to view it and liked what I saw. Sent an email to manager trying to book and never heard back after a week. Called today just to be told it wasn’t happening and to look elsewhere. Gladly. Hope your building contract really is up in 2020 because after reading reviews it seems like the place is a dump and so is management. Will take my event/money elsewhere.

Save your money and your time. This restaurant is tired and is in need of an upfit! Both the interior and the menu are worn and lifeless.

Pleasant staff; my mom thought her chicken was raw but that's neither here nor there. If you're vegan there are Brussels sprouts like no other. Really the Brussels sprouts are like no other despite dietary restrictions. For some reason my family was set on having salmon here but they were out of salmon. My grandfather came with a deep need for mussels, but the waiter informed us it is mussel spawning season and somehow that means there are less mussels; no mussels in fact. He asked about the clams but they are spawning too. My sister I think might still be there; she got stuck talking to a stranger and then Vivace closed. Best of luck to her.

We had a great first experience here today out on the patio. Great selection of appetizers and wonderful sangria that had a light taste. Dorothy was so personable when she waited on us and treated us so well that we just didn't want to leave. Will go back again soon.

This restaurant is good on their word! I appreciate them honoring a meal promised to me and my family following an experience I had a year prior. Thanks to their standard we will be trying the restaurant again, and we absolutely love the food. Thanks for keeping your word ! -christian,soliel, and chuck

Vivace never disappoints! I visited Vivace with friends for brunch and everyone loved their meal. I'm not proud, but I had the quiche and it was outstanding! It was a sausage quiche and the serving was quite filling. The crust was amazing and the quiche was served with a perfectly dressed mixed greens salad. I would definitely get it again.

We came here for the first time at this location for our anniversary. Generally we dine at the location in Raleigh. Our waitress was very attentive and our hostess was out of this would. We started off the night with a bottle of wine to toast the occasion. We moved onto mussels as appetizers. Then bolognese for main course. Our hostess surprised us with a desert and an anniversary card signed by the staff. We will be back! Thank you!
