Wheelz Pizza of South End Charlotte

Not that it’s a competition but I’d prefer Wheelz over Benny’s- the crust was delicious! I got a slice and wish I’d gotten a whole one.

I went in with a group of friends and ordered a 14” pepperoni pizza along with a Coke and a water. The cashier gave me my total, told me it would be about a 10-minute wait, and I paid and sat down.
When the food was ready, an employee came out and called for a 14” pepperoni pizza with a Coke and water my exact order. I got up to grab it, but the employee looked at me and questioned whether it was actually mine. He even asked another worker if it might belong to a different couple nearby. That couple didn’t respond or come forward, likely because it wasn’t their order.
The situation made me feel uncomfortable, as if I was being accused of trying to take someone else’s food, which wasn’t the case at all. I had already paid and was simply picking up my order when it was called.
Overall, the experience left a negative impression due to how the situation was handled. Better communication or checking order details more professionally would have avoided the confusion.

Very delicious pizza! We splurged an extra $2.75 for premium mozzarella and totally worth it. Thin, crispy sourdough crust in the middle with thick edges. Yum!

First time here was walking by and said hey pizza so I popped in for a try and i can say it was delicious with all the combinations of good flavor definitely will be coming back

It was a ten minute wait from the time I ordered to getting the pizza. It was the most delicious pizza I have ever had. The prosciutto and ricotta is fluffy and crispy. You taste the char from the oven on the meat and you get a hint of sweetness with the honey. The price is definitely worth it being interesting middle of downtown.

* They have happy hour every day from 4pm to 7pm where their 14” pizzas are $18 and you can get a 20 oz soda for only $1.50
* The man taking my order was named Paris and he told me my exact wait time which I appreciated and was so polite

This pizza is scrumptious!! I love these type of pepperonis and the crust was soft but not doughy!

Tried Wheelz Pizza for the first time and went with the supreme pie — honestly, it hit the spot. The crust was cooked just right, the toppings were plentiful without being overwhelming, and everything tasted fresh and well balanced. Nothing was soggy or overly greasy, which I really appreciated.

You can tell they take pride in what they’re making. Solid pizza, great experience, and definitely a place I’ll come back to when I’m in South End.

Really yummy pizza with high quality ingredients. My order is always ready super fast and always hits the spot! My faves are the classic cheese and pepperoni. The chocolate chip cookies are a must order too.
