Drove up from Fayetteville (45 minutes) as a halfway point to have Xmas dinner with friends in the small town of Clayton. Lots of boutique shops with festivities on going. The Clayton Steakhouse is a quaint downtown restaurant with a narrow street front, but a deep place for seating. Arrived early, so we sat up to the bar. Very large and varied whiskey selection with very 'bourbon smart' bartenders doing great mixology. Great place for a cocktail. Seated on time for our reservation and ordered. There are many different cuts and sizes of steak. So everyone got their preference. The 2 steaks ordered medium rare were more on the medium side, but still great cuts of steak. The favorite side for everyone was the fried Green Bean appetizer.

Awesome low key steakhouse right in heart of Clayton. This is a very unassuming place, quite casual, but with excellent high-end food. We each ordered steak amd each was cooked perfectly amd was delicious. And most meals come with unlimited salad bar which is healthy and good. Would recommend this place amd would go there again next time we are in town.

Perfect lunch spot. Able to carry a conversation. I ordered the Ribeye Steak sandwich, cook perfectly, tender, and juicy. The side salad added this breath of freshness. My friend got the burger with those scrumptious broasted potatoes crispy, seasoned outside and buttery inside. He stayed the most excellent potatoes he's had in a long time.

We’ve had the pleasure of dining at Clayton Steakhouse twice now, and both experiences have been nothing short of amazing. The food is consistently excellent, but what really stands out is the service. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating, which made a big difference for us as parents of an 18-month-old.
Our little one can get a bit fussy at times, but the team went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and able to enjoy our meal without any stress. They were kind, attentive, and never made us feel out of place. It turned what could have been a challenging situation into a truly perfect dining experience.
We can’t recommend Clayton Steakhouse enough — great food, wonderful atmosphere, and exceptional service that makes you feel cared for every step of the way.
The steak was good. Tha hamburger was not medium, more like medium well or well done. The dessert was a very firm disappointment. The server was noticeably different to tables.

The service was splendid, I don’t want to give a bad impression of this facility. There was a mix up of our food. But our waitress and the manager accommodated my wife and I. This was our 8 year anniversary celebration. This place made it to our top five steak restaurants. The flavor was awesome and those twice baked loaded potatoes, nothing else needs to be said. And the atmosphere was great.
