We treated an Alabama family member to dinner on the first evening here in NC. Three of us dined on two NY strip steaks and one ribeye. My steak was swapped with my relative’s steak, and we didn’t know until we each took a bite…the server noticed the difference as she passed by and offered to have two additional steaks prepared. That was nice of her, though we declined. We just switched...
Our usual Mannings is closed on Tuesdays so we decided to give this place a try. Even though we arrived for lunch we asked and were able to order off the dinner menu since we wanted steak. Yumm! I got a filet with the “extra” loaded potato (mushroom, cheese sauce, broccoli & scallion). He got a ribeye, both were cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the chocolate chess pie with ice cream. I had the salad bar & loaded baked potato. Salad bar was clean, had a moderate selection, and tasted great! My potato was extremely overcooked , but it wasn't hot.
My son had a steak that, in his words,
was "inedible and tasted like a thick piece of rubbery liver."
My daughter in law had a different cut of steak, and hers was delicious. It was very juicy & tender.
