Had such an amazing time celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday! Thank you for hosting our surprise party and for the incredible service! Keri and the rest of the team took great care of us. ☺️ The food and drinks were delicious and I’m so happy we had a space to hang out and spend time together!

First Street Tavern is a charming and casual spot to hang out and enjoy a drink or a meal. The Victorian-style house has a welcoming exterior, while the interior has a laid-back, rustic feel. The food is delicious, with options like a Cosmo, and the bartenders are friendly and enthusiastic. They have a variety of drinks from beers to cocktails and food that blends well with drinks, such as the pear flatbread with gorgonzola. The atmosphere is lively and fun, making it a great spot to meet with friends or grab a quick bite, and also to host parties, with staff that is friendly and accommodating. The space can be a bit cramped and crowded, but the different environments and music make it a great place to have a good time. Live music nights, featuring solo guitar covers of rock and country classics, add to the lively atmosphere, and the community often comes together for special events. The outdoor seating area provides a nice oasis in downtown Clayton, ideal for enjoying good food, drinks, and company. The Pimento & Bacon flatbread is highly recommended, and the apple cider mule is a favorite drink. Overall, it is a laid-back, friendly, and welcoming place with good food, fair prices, and a vibrant vibe that feels like a hometown bar.
