I’ve never given a restaurant a “1” but I’ve gone twice and both times were horrible. It took forever to get our food , there was only one server, the table was sticky and the food was cold, and tasteless, horrible. We tipped the waitress anyway because it’s not her fault the tables were cleaned with a dirty cloth an not rinsed. We dried our on table with napkins. The benches are stiff and leaning forward. I thought I should wait a year before doing this post thinking it was a one time thing. Sorry to say this place should probably be shut down
This was THE BEST quesadilla ever! The shrimp and onions in it were prepared exactly perfectly, and the tortilla was not the least bit soggy nor was it greasy; it was delightfully crunchy. Husband really appreciated the bountiful brunch, also. Server JoJo was excellent at anticipating our needs and providing suggestions for our meal. The interior of the restaurant had received a beautiful face-lift since the last time we were there. The colorful mural of the covered bridge was especially eye-catching.
Tried the Steak Dianne, the sauce and blue cheese topping was delicious. Steak was not cooked as well as I personally like, but, it was not a huge deal. It was tender and I ate it all. The mashed potatoes were phenomenal! The green beans were probably the only “not as special” as the others, cause green beans. Over all the meal was enjoyable and I would eat it again.
This is such a wonderful restaurant!!!! The service is amazing and so is the food!! It’s a great atmosphere and place to get together with friends for breakfast, brunch & dinner! Great menu with lots of choices!!
Lovely seating in front of the large “Main Street” window, nice music in the background, warm lighting for a romantic date-night, cheerful server! Unfortunately, the food-fails ruined our milestone celebration date. The crab-corn chowder was flavorful…but served at nearly room-temperature (I didn’t complain though, in anticipation of the entree…I figured it was a fluke). My spouse’s mozzarella sticks were not melted at all…they were “warm” and solid…no melt. My salmon arrived looking delicious, but unfortunately the entire inside was cool and gelatinous…dark, unflaky, uncooked. I sent it back and did not want a replacement item after the cool soup, lukewarm mozzarella, and gelatinous salmon…just lost my trust in the chef/food safety aspect. My spouse’s chicken cordon-bleu was very, very hot though, so at least there’s that. Our first trip to Nina’s was about a year ago and it was absolutely delightful/delicious (I had salmon then, too). Not sure what happened last night, but our celebration felt ruined. We won’t be returning. Three cheers for our kind, courteous server though. She was really nice.
Enjoyed a dinner out with my son...we had the mozzarella sticks, spaghetti with meatballs, and salmon. Tasty food with great service ?
My wife and I went into the restaurant to have a leisurely Friday night dinner. There was no waiting and we were seated promptly and served our drinks. We ordered the crab dip with pita chips as an appetizer, shrimp and grits for my wife and spaghetti with meat balls for myself. The crap dip came out first as expected but was warm at best and the chips were not hot or crisp. We did not finish it completely as it just wasn't good. My wife's shrimp and grits were hot but was really watery and the sausage was brown and did not taste freshly cooked. My spaghetti was ok but the meatballs were not good and one was so hard that could barely pierce it my fork. We thought it was frozen but it was warm and just plain hard. This was our second trip to this restaurant and will most likely be our last. $50.00 later we left.
Great Restaurant! Food was delicious. Service was great. We went for my sister’s birthday and had a wonderful time. Thank you!
Quaint local restaurant that has really good food. The menu is very extensive without being overwhelming. They also have great mixed cocktails. The service is good, but you need to be ready when they are to place your order, or your order will take twice as long to place and to get your bill resolved.
Tried the place since their Sunday brunch menu looked good. No real wait at noon, quiet cute place and looked like they had a couple off-shoot rooms too. Waffle and pancakes were good. Benedict had to be remade bc it was overdone with little sauce. Once re-done it was much better. Average pay for what you get kinda deal. Service looked a little stretched, but she was trying. Isn’t a must go back kind of place, but wouldn’t oppose it if someone else wanted to go.
Parking: Street parking with a medium sized lot nearby.

I'm going to start off by saying I have a feeling this wasn't the best the restaurant has to offer. But I can only review what I experienced. It's possible brunch just isn't their specialty, but it's what we needed at the time. The food itself was pretty good. The home fries were a bit lukewarm though -- they'd lost some crispiness too. I had a crepe that was stuffed like a breakfast burrito and it was pretty good.We did get drastically overcharged on orange juice though. It was a pretty tiny cup for 3 bucks, and the waitress casually asked if we wanted more, but didn't indicate that it would cost another $3 each time. I knew in the back of my mind that it was a possibility but they just asked so casually, it almost felt rude to bring it up. I get why they have to charge, I just wish they were clear about it up front -- it simply doesn't feel good to end up paying what you'd expect to pay for about 2 cartons of orange juice and only get a few tiny cups worth. Also, it's not a huge deal, but the men's room had no toilet paper and barely any paper towels, which was odd considering they just opened for the day.Ultimately this place is definitely NOT beyond redemption and maybe just had an off day, or still needs to figure out some things about breakfast. If someone wanted me to go there for dinner I would give it another chance. Probably not going for breakfast any time soon though.
My husband and I have been here twice and we were very happy with our meals on both occasions. Super friendly and attentive service; There were not any issues around being short-staffed when we visited. Family-friendly, as we took our 2 kiddos one evening and had a great experience. The atmosphere (aesthetically/decoratively) leaves a bit to be desired, but otherwise a great dining option in downtown Clayton.
A small family-operated establishment since 2019 in the heart of Clayton NC.Now Clayton is not that big of a town and for some reason I had never stumbled into the doors of this fine little establishment until now. They are a friendly and personable bunch who wastes no time in getting you comfortably settled in.So many Italian entrees, yet so little time. The menu offers many of my favorites, but when faced with an assortment of pasta entrees, I always start with the lasagna. Clearly a good choice, they serve a wonderful house made lasagna, when you can taste the layers, you know you're in the right place.Sit back with a bottle of wine, they have plenty and enjoy what Nina's has to offer.Cheers!.
Came from out of town for a funeral and found this awesome restaurant as second choice to a local steak place that was closed on Mondays near Nina's. We are glad we stopped in...three nights in a row!We were greeted like family by an awesome Server named Jennifer. She explained the menu, gave some recommendations and off she went. We had Steak, spaghetti (a free salad on Monday. heck yeah) and vegetables with potatoes on the side. The steak will never be confused for A5 Kobe Ribcap but it was great for the price point! The Italian dishes were amazing and the cheese cake was as good as any I have eaten anywhere... and I have eaten cheese cake everywhere. The menu prices are reasonable and if you want to be treated like family and not a customer then this is the place you want to go. We appreciated the hospitality from the staff there and especially Jennifer. She could give a class on how to treat patrons and we will be back the next time we are in the Carolina area. Thanks for a great week!
What a wonderful birthday dinner! Daughter had the French Onion soup and I had Penne A la Vodka. Both were delicious. Waitress was super pleasant, nice relaxing music. Tiramisu was delicious, too. Will come back. ?
