I had a very disappointing experience at this Popeyes location. My order was made incorrectly, and when we noticed the mistake we waited outside for nearly 10 minutes trying to get the issue corrected. Instead of simply fixing the order or offering reasonable customer service, we were told that because the food was made the night before, we would need to bring the food back the next day in order to receive a refund.
Let’s be realistic — who keeps a full box of fast food overnight just to return it the next day? That policy makes no sense from a customer perspective. When customers bring an issue to your attention immediately and are willing to resolve it respectfully, the expectation should be basic accountability and service.
Unfortunately, the interaction with Ms. Cabrina did not reflect the level of professionalism or customer care that a major restaurant chain like Popeyes should provide. Situations like this are exactly why people choose to spend their money elsewhere.
I won’t be returning to this location, and I hope management takes a closer look at how customer concerns are handled here.

Ordered a meal for my workers. Chicken was cooked to death very dry 3 pieces were inedible. Coleslaw was half full. Biscuits were so hard you could knock someone out with them.

I ordered large mash potatoes and gravy. I was not advised when I placed my order there was an additional charge for extra gravy which was 1.00 plus tax. When I arrived to pick up windows I was advised for the first time the amount of my order. When I questioned the extra amount I informed cashier to remove the extra gravy and refund amount, the cashier said they didn't refund small amounts! I asked for the manager who came over and advised me that she didn't issue refunds for small amounts! I told her she could the small amount now and train her staff to give the total when order is placed or she can refund the whole amount which was almost 25.00. She refund the small amount with a very unprofessional attitude!! I won't patronize this location again! I wonder how much money they have charged without the customers permission?

Popeye in general is ok and my favorite chicken place, however this location in Clayton, NC to be as new as it is, is awful! The location is often out of chicken and other items. I have visited this location numerous of times and it’s never been an ok experience. As John Maxwell would put it, EVERYTHING RISES AND FALLS ON LEADERSHIP, and with the issues this location is facing (out of stock of different products, employees looking beat down emotionally and quality of products that are available being over or undercooked). I normally would say nothing and move on to another restaurant, but I’m hoping the owner of this location is wanting some help with identifying the issues, so I can start buying from this location again. I don’t know who the manager of this location is, but it starts with them!

Sat for 25 minutes and then was finally gave the excuse that the fryer was broke….used my lunch to sit here for nothing!

Compared to most Popeye locations, the food preparation is slightly above average. Personally the fries are too greasy. The service by the staff was greatly appreciated! And the atmosphere of the building and parking lot is by far on the cleanest compared to other locations. I didn’t dine in, so I can’t really speak to the cleanliness of the kitchen. However I can assume it is above average from everything else.
