“First time coming in here being that my job is only a few doors down. I heard a lot of good things so I had to check it out for myself. The service was A1 all the way around. All our good came out pretty fast and it was hot. They also give you large portions of food too. I like the fact that the waitress continuously made sure we were good and kept our drinks replenished. I never had fried squash before but it was so so good.“
“The atmosphere and service here was AWESOME! Food was nothing to brag about. Shrimp platter was a 2-3, tender platter was 4.5, lobster nachos were 3.5, and the rest was 3 stars or below. Our server was AMAZING. We're gonna wait a few months and try again. When you're paying for 5, you want the food to be better.“

“I really enjoy this place! I haven't tried everything on the menu but I do have a few choice favorites! The Pittsburgh Steak Salad with the lemon vinaigrette is top notch, as well as the Jail Bird Jerky and the Ruben Croquettes!! The drinks are super good, if you are a light weight, then you'll be good off of one. If you're a heavy weight, then you'll probably be good off of two, lol!!! I definitely recommend this spot.“
“Went for for the first time as an early birthday lunch. The food was out of this world. The salmon is to die for. It will just melt in your mouth. The mac-n-cheese tastes like my Mawmaws homemade. The special caramel swirl cheesecake was amazing. The wait staff were great. All around an awesome experience.“
“I have seen this place packed with cars, a line in the drive through on various occasions-but somehow we were fortunate enough to get here when it was basically empty. It was our first time so we went simple a potato ole and cheesesteak sandwich. I was in the mood for some comfort food and decided we can throw calories to the wind and really wanted a chili baked potato the spud ole was a great option mixing chili cheese green pepper and a side of salsa. It was a very large potato so I took half to go. The restaurant itself is definitely casual. Order at the counter and they give a number to find you when the food is ready. Staff was very friendly. They have a good size menu but I feel like I would just go through the potato menu lol. Decently priced for large portions of comfort food.“
“Stopped by for some food while traveling. It’s a country diner. Lots of fried foods and comfort foods. Not really my thing, but the food was fine. Kinda a funny place to eat. They stay true to their country theme, and our waitress was kind. Traveling with two young kids, we really leaned into the “family” in their name ;) Probably won’t go back, but happy we went!“
“Diners, Drive-ins and Dives doesn't know ALL of the fabulous family owned joints! Just tried out Duke's Restaurant in Winston-Salem, NC. They have both a from-the-menu service and the traditional Southern cafeteria line with awesome veggie options. Choices, choices. I went for the three veggie plate, and soup... while John devoured a tasty beef sandwich (that you can almost see under the mound of fries). Our waitress, Estella was awesome too. Great food and southern hospitality!“
“Our new favorite place!! We finally tried Steven's a couple of days ago and are going back today! Our whole family is in LOVE with Stevens!!! They have the best chicken souvlaki I have ever had and the cabbage is incredible!! I whole heartedly recommend trying this place!! I can't wait to try everything on the menu!“
“Ok, full disclosure.... I'm not a fan of diners, I know it's so very Un American of me! I expected to leave WestTown disappointed and underwhelmed but I was pleasantly surprised on this trip. I got the Greek omelet with bacon and it was flavorful and stuffed full of tomatoes, spinach and feta. The home fries were crispy and seasoned nicely too. My friend ordered the two egg breakfast that comes with a third egg free if requested. She's southern by birth and gave the accompanying biscuit and sausage gravy a thumbs up. The mimosa flight was disappointing as it tasted more like juice than a bubbly mimosa. But at $10, it shouldn't surprise anyone that it isn't heavy on the alcohol. I would suggest bumping up the price and balancing out the ratio. All in all, I typically avoid diners that have such extensive menus but for a solid breakfast at a great price, I will visit WestTown again. On a fun note, they've recently added a soup flight after a social media post on a "Winston Eats FB Page" requested that such a thing should exist. So far, great reviews on that so maybe I'll try that next time too! Service was fast and friendly ....ambiance is what you would expect. ...Nice family run, casual spot! New ownership so if you've tried them in the past, might be worth another try..... but you really need to be a diner person too“
“We have eaten here often on Sundays when most of the restaurants in Mocksville are closed. This week, there was a new waiter, and we didn't wait long for our dinners.Vegetarian options: Several of the spaghetti options are vegetarian. The Spaghetti a la Venice is delightful; with fresh garlic, tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms and black olives. Everything that I have had on the menu, has been very good.“
“I have been enjoying Waldo's Wings for 30 years. Jackie started it long ago, and now Chris Michael and Zoe are keeping up the tradition and kept the same high quality and great taste as ever. “You cannot beat Pete's for good food..EVERYTHING is delicious. Large servings so usually I can share or take part of meal home for dinner.
