Went to an event that Hit the Pit was catering. He did up a whole smoked hog, and it was the best I’ve had! Great food, and the owner is as nice as they come! Highly recommended!

Stale chips, cheap nacho cheese, flavorless pulled pork, canned beans. I am not sure they actually make anything.

I contracted with hit the pit to cater my retirement party. The food was delicious. I didn’t have to worry about a thing they provided everything they served about 50 people easily. Everyone was satisfied I got rave reviews for the food and for the service would definitely hire them again for any catering needs

I work at the Outdoor Living & More store at the Outlets. Saturday they had a truck meet. I decided I was hungry and I'd see if someone had s cornfog or something. I saw Hit the Pit BBQ. I approached the window hoping for brisket but they had only prepared a hog for this shindig. I ordered one pp sandwich and a side of Mac n Cheese. While the side was pretty standard the pulled pork sammich was anything but. It comes with a Sweet Baby Ray dipping sauce which I found amusing. I was expecting some super duper family secret sauce that was to doe for. Nah just SBR's. I decided to try it plain. To die for it was. I think they put it in a blender as it's super fine. I ate that perfectly moist work of art in less than 90 seconds which leaves me here thinking I need to walk down and get another. They surely surprised me with a delightful Pulled pork sammich on a Saturday afternoon. I'll be back to try your brisket another time. Thanks!

Friendly people with good, wholesome food at great prices. You get a whole lot of value for the money with no cut corners, just good cooking. They also have a truck set up at the Discount Shoes parking lot off Brevard Rd.

Jeff was an absolute dream to work with to cater my and my husbands wedding. Our original venue was destroyed by Hurricane Helene and Jeff was more than willing to step in and provide food on a relatively short notice during the chaotic fallout of the water system being down. The food was wonderful and he was sure to work with allergy requirements for our guests. I would definitely jump at an opportunity to work with Jeff again.

Needed to feed 40 people last minute and they went above and beyond to accommodate us even though they were booked on that day. The food arrived right on time, hot and ready to serve. There was nothing left and most had two helpings. The BBQ was great as was the brisket. All the sides were amazing even the desert. I would definitely recommend them for catering.

I am middle of the road on this place. I am alway in search of the best BBQ. This is not the place. The truck was at Discount Shoes in Candler, NC. BBQ pork was good, but not sure why everyone chops their BBQ up. Most BBQ places/trucks are big on their own homemade BBQ sauces. They use small prepackaged Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce. Potato salad was okay, but a little on the sweet side. Not sure what to say about the Mac & cheese. It looked like Mac and cheese, but the taste is indescribable. I am grateful for the $1 can of soda. Thanks for not price gouging.
