Could not be a better country diner!!!??
Excellent food, great service!
Great place. Will be back.
Small town restaurant where they remember you when you walk in the door. The food is great and so is the service.
Onion rings are wonderful!
I love this place everytime, their food is always good and the place is beautiful
Amazing. Don’t skip the pie
Last minute stop on a road trip so didn’t know what to expect… What a GREAT decision this was. Folks, trust me ~ the food was spectacular, the service was fantastic, and the down home feel was something you rarely find today. We LOVE this place. I’ll drive 2 hours out of my way now just for a quick meal. Doesn’t matter what you order ~ it’s all delicious!
This place is the TRUE Heart of Haywood County! There may be parts of the county that are in turmoil (or just downright rude and awful), but this place is a true sanctuary from them all! In addition to the best home cooking available in WNC, they serve love at no extra cost. Anyone who trolls this place does not deserve the good that comes from here. May the Peace of the Lord be with you ALL!
Down home. Honest food. Nice folks.

I have known the Pioneer’s hospitality for many, many years. Growing up in Haywood County, there were only a handful (or less) restaurants that made their food from scratch and it was served with the friendliness only family can provide. Today, I can reminisce those memories at the Pioneer Restaurant, which has steadily supplied the same small town characteristics over decades. There, you’ll find great, homestyle cooking (and cute pancake art for kiddos), a blast-from-the-past atmosphere (with bar and booth seating), and staff that greet you as though you are related. You’ll find family here (not just figuratively- it is family owned and operated with “adopted” kinship). The food is always fresh, the desserts are always delectable, and you just can’t find any other establishment with as many faithful patrons. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal whilst reliving a simpler time.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL. We live local and went in for the first time. Omelet was terrible, raw onions and peppers not cooked at all. Ham in omelet was smoked which gave a horrible taste. Gravy was out of a bag or something. Not worth $41 at all. McDonald’s has a better breakfast.

Friendly little old school diner. While the food is not Michelin star level, it is exactly what it is supposed to be at a small town roadside diner.
Stop in and enjoy the place for what it is; a welcoming establishment where people sit and talk to one another.

Good food, good people. Very consistent, I've came here as a young child and I will continue to come until I'm a old man.
