I have known the Pioneer’s hospitality for many, many years. Growing up in Haywood County, there were only a handful (or less) restaurants that made their food from scratch and it was served with the friendliness only family can provide. Today, I can reminisce those memories at the Pioneer Restaurant, which has steadily supplied the same small town characteristics over decades. Friendly little old school diner. While the food is not Michelin star level, it is exactly what it is supposed to be at a small town roadside diner.
