Our girls love boarding and going to day care at Lucky Dog LKN. The staff are wonderful and caring. Would definitely recommend!

What a fun place to hang with your fur baby!
I was there today for a private pawty, Lucky Dogs first timer, and loved it! There's an indoor area and an outdoor area to enjoy. The large outdoor area is completely fenced in and has some tables with benches, and dog ramps and tunnels all on concrete. There's a covered deck area with long high-top tables and chairs with TVs for you to catch a game. The bar has a decent variety of beer and their cocktail menu is very creative and the bartender is super nice!! Dog water bowls for the pups too. They offer boarding and grooming. They also have specials for Beer & Bath Nights and Trivia Nights. As a pet facility that can't offer food but they do welcome door dash or you bringing in your own food. Had a fun time and will definitely be back!

My dog, Biskee, loves going to Lucky Dog. When we get in the car, she nudges me to drive faster.

This is a wonderful place for both my basset & myself to unwind after a hard day of work!

CJ and Destiny are incredibly friendly and clearly care about the dogs. I know my furry friend is in good hands whenever she's there. Highly recommend!"

DO NOT BOARD AT LUCKY DOG! The dogs are most definitely not lucky when they're here.

Our two dogs have come home covered in pee multiple times. When we dug further into it we found out they were NOT caring for our dogs. They have only 2 handlers for upwards of 100 dogs. One of our dogs came home with a huge gash on his face and they didn't catch it, or report it to us. They come home anxious every boarding visit.

When we dug further we found out that one of our dogs was so anxious she was chewing on a cot (she doesn't chew things at home, or any other boarding place we've ever used.) Instead of telling us, they just made a note in their system that she doesn't get a cot... We asked them to kennel together and so both of our dogs were sleeping on cold hard tile floor for their entire stays, sometimes as long as a week or two when we've taken longer trips. Instead of taking any responsibility for any of this they blamed our dogs.

Their manager confirmed to me they don't require handlers have ANY certifications or qualifications. I asked for a GM or assistant GM to get in touch with me about whether they even do background checks and they are ignoring us.

Lucky Dog used to be great when they were family owned. Roughly around 2022 they were bought out by a corporation called Village Pet and it's clear they are trying to suck as much profit out of the business while they can. They've raised their rates and cut down on the staff. In NC handlers can only have 10 dogs out per handler so your pets are NOT getting as much attention or outside time as they should be.

This place is the worst. We have 4 friends that also used Lucky Dog and after hearing what was happening they're also finding another boarding place. We'll be telling anyone who will listen to ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE.

My pup stayed here while I was out of town for a wedding back home in Pittsburgh. They took such great care of him. I swear he did not want to leave and go home with me lol!

We stayed and I had a drink before we went home. I had the Doodle (blueberry vodka, raspberry vodka, sour & ginger ale). Plenty of games to play! Great atmosphere & vibes. Molly was out bartender! She was SO GD funny and kind. They have murals on the inside and outside for photo ops! We will definitely be back!! 🩷🩷

Our dogs love it here! Such a perfect place to watch the games and let the dogs play. Staff is super friendly and place is always clean. We love it here!! Especially when the pool it out 🤣😂

Could not recommend this place highly enough for boarding. Had to go out of town last minute and CJ was super accommodating and made me feel comfortable leaving Ella here for the week. Ella had never been boarded before and I was nervous at first until I saw the immediate attention they paid to her from the second we walked in the door. When I got back Ella(while excited to see me) didn't seem to want to leave. CJ, Destiny and Chasity were all amazing and Ella came home with trimmed nails and paw fluff, a fresh bath, and a huge smile. I will not hesitate again to go here immediately if I ever need to have somewhere for Ella to go again!!

The team at Lucky Dog Cornelius consistently take great care of our dog Patton. Whether for day care or for several days of boarding, we've had a positive experience. The staff are all warm, inviting and professional. Grooming services are awesome as well. Thank you Lucky Dog Team :)

I usually go to the Steele Creek location but was in the area and stopped in last week to check this one out. It’s a little on the older side but the ambiance and energy were great. In speaking with the bartender Molly, I learned the location use to be a crackle barrel. Makes so much sense lol. Molly and Ericka were joking around with staff and what seemed to be regulars because everyone knew their names. Glad I stopped in and met some new people. It’s a little ways for me but will definitely be back. I even got a free koozie.

This place needs to be under investigation. The photos speak for themselves. Looks to be like dog prison. Very heartbreaking.

My dogs go here for day care, boarding and grooming. Maci just was groomed and looks fabulous!!
