“Although we have been coming to Duck for a number of years this was our first time in Corolla, and our first visit to Metropolis. Everything was delicious! My wife and I ordered 4 plates to share (yes, small servings but it calls itself a Tapas Bar so that was expected by us). King Trumpet Mushroom Bisque with Crab was delicious...thick, creamy with a mix of great flavors. Mixed Grill had shrimp and tune with a great cumin and garlic yogurt sauce. The scallops were cooked perfectly with a very light blue cheese cream sauce. And finally a flight of chocolate candies with very interesting flavors...everything from dark chocolate with a caramel flavor to chocolate infused with a beaujolais flavor. Overall a fun experience...will definitely be back.“
“This is a must do if you are visiting Corolla. There are self serve wine dispensers so you can try multiple wines in the amount of your choice and also an extensive wine list by the glass or bottle. The charcuterie boards are delicious and generous. The owners, Liz and Rob, are both sommeliers and know their wines. They also own Bacchus, the wine shop just south of the Currituck Club. Check out their FB page for special events and trivia nights. We own a home in the area and always make a point of visiting Wild Goose when we are in Corolla.“
