Great food and very friendly staff. Beautiful location. My only complaint is about the music. It was horrible disco versions of some great old rock music on a short loop, so you heard the same butchered music over and over again. The food and atmosphere made up for it, but only by a little bit. We will be going back, because as we were leaving we spotted a patio that wasn't wired for sound.
This place was very nicely set up. Felt very safe, we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the food. It tasted very fresh! We initially stopped at another restaurant a couple of doors down, but they allowed smoking on their back patio and it was not very inviting because of that. ( no judgment for them allowing smoking on their back patio. it just wasn't for me, it's their place of business and they can run it anyway they want.) I highly recommend Doffers Canteen. I’ve eaten a lot of salads in my lifetime, only because they’re a healthy option, not because I enjoy them. I have to say the shrimp salad @ Doffer’s is the best salad I’ve EVER eaten! Loved it & will definitely come back for it. Also, it was refreshing to see all the workers actually working & seemed to enjoy their jobs.
