“I've always loved going to diners ever since I was a kid growing up in Orlando Florida. So when I saw Tarts 50's Diner advertised on social media, I couldn't wait to give them a try. I thought it was a brand new business but apparently they are well established here in Dunn North Carolina but under new ownership. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. The wait staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. I even had the opportunity to meet and speak with the owner. 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend!”

“second time eating here. The food is fresh hot and affordable. Today I went with my daughter and we got the chicken and shrimp with coleslaw and fries and hushpuppies with a cold Ice teas. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. The cashier/server is always nice. Prices are very reasonable and we will go back for sure.”

“For a small town restaurant the overall experience was very good. Steak sandwich and chips were cooked just right. The pizzas crust was a thin type crust which I like alot and was not overly thick with sauce. Both cheese and bbq chicken heated up next day for lunch.”

“Where to even begin!?

This was hands-down one of the best dining experiences my girlfriend and I have had in a long time. To start, we ordered the guacamole and chorizo dip for the table, and both were every bit as delicious as they sounded—absolutely bursting with flavor. I had a cocktail that, unfortunately, I can’t recall the name of, but my girlfriend had the Christmas Surprise cocktail, which was fun, festive, and incredibly tasty.

For my entrée, I had an incredible steak, chorizo, and barbacoa platter served on a bed of rice and beans. Every bite was a flavor explosion—it truly exceeded my expectations. While I can’t remember my girlfriend’s exact order off the top of my head, we both agreed the food was so good it left us planning our next visit before we even finished the meal.

The cocktails weren’t just delicious; they added a fun twist to the whole experience, and our server went above and beyond, answering all of my questions about the menu and drink options with patience and expertise.

Not only will we be returning, but we’ve also started a list of friends and family who we absolutely have to bring along so they can experience how amazing this place is too.

If I had one tiny critique, it would be that their menu isn’t fully updated online, which made it harder to remember the names of the incredible dishes we enjoyed. But honestly, that’s a small issue compared to how phenomenal everything else was.

“I just moved to Dunn recently and found this gem! Totally impressed by it. The food was phenomenal. We had steak, lobster, Mahi Mahi, and the salad bar!! Glad to know there is at least one place in Dunn that isn’t fast food or greasy southern stuff. (I’m southern, so I’m not hating on those places) The prices are absolutely reasonable. The steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster melted in my mouth. 1000% recommend.

If I had one critique for this place, it’s that the salad bar bowl should be at least twice the size they are. You can’t really pile your salad with vegetable or mix it around with the dressing when the bowl is about an inch tall and 4” inches diameter. The salad bar is what sold me on going in the first place and the bowl was about the size a 6 year old would need. The salad bar is huge with tons and tons of options, but there’s no way to actually make a salad with that size of a plate.

“I've been coming to this spot for years now and I've always enjoyed my meal. Their lunch menu prices are really good compared to the dinner menu, and the food portions are always great. Their sushi is pretty good too, I've had a great experience with every roll type I've ordered. Recently I got the hibachi steak and the hibachi chick entrees for lunch, and it was just as good as ever. If you're looking for tasty Japanese food, this is the spot to hit.”

“Probably the best place I have been to in Dunn since Zane's closed down. They are adding staff but sadly, not everyone can handle the volume they get sometimes. With the hours they are open and currently only 3 exceptional mixologists. Zach, Sam and EEEEEE, I don't know how they could be faster and still manage a simple conversation with a customer.
