The food is very good! High-quality fresh ingredients, well-prepared and thought-out meals. We ordered an IPA and Spiced Peach Mule for drinks, and I highly recommend the Mule. To start, we ordered the Butter + Salt and Fries. Very tasty! For main courses we ordered the Alley Burger and Fried Shrimp Roll, both with the side salad instead of fries, which was the best side salad I've had with a meal. Raves reviews for both! Absolutely love this place! Cocktails were delish. They actually make their own tonic, so their bartenders are a cut above. I got a Lemon-drop Martini which had the perfect balance of sweet and tart. We got the charcuterie board ...it was excellent. (In retrospect, I probably should've gotten a nice glass of wine but I wanted another Lemondrop). We had Espresso Martinis to finish. If you have trouble sleeping, I wouldn't suggest these... they were delightfully strong!...
My fiancé and I celebrated my 30th birthday here. The fall menu is absolute heaven (specifically the chicken liver pate). The cocktails are deliciously complex and fun, the atmosphere is unbeatable and Yair effortlessly made our experience so special, fun, and memorable. Best spot in Durham.
