Cute vibes. my boyfriend and I came on the Thursday night which is their trivia night. The hostesses checked on us many times. We both had sandwiches. That were just OK. We also bought two seasonal drinks I personally feel mine was a bit too strong, but but who complains about too strong of a drink?!? I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place for dinner, but it was fun to do the trivia and to have snacks and dessert. I will definitely be back. Dessert was the best part…crème brûlée.

Cocktail hour was delightful! Spacious with very comfortable seating our waiter was gracious and timely. We choose the cucumber pesto caprisi salad and the olive nuts combo to snack on. Both excellent choices!! My glass of vino at the happy hour prices hit the spot. Thank you to Aperitif for a wonderful experience in Durham as I am from NY.

More vegan choices than I expected and clearly marked on the menu which is a bonus! Even has a vegan dessert. Great service and nice mellow atmosphere. We will be back, especially in the summer to sit on the patio to relax and watch the sunset. We had the vegan cheese board and this dessert is bananas.

Espresso martini is makeshift. Less than ideal. Atmosphere is good, other drinks I can’t speak to, but chill spot nonetheless.

Super cute place to watch the sunset, try new wines or a cocktail and have the perfect nibbles. Watched the sunset against Durham's mirror building and loved the drinks.Only negative is that the seating is not overly comfortable or warm so if they get a designer in to warm up the place 10/10 go get it!

I had a wonderful experience at Aperitif! I came by myself for a little after work, pre-dinner bite, and was very pleased. The space is bright, airy and beautifully decorated with options for indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. I loved that they have various seating options- tables as well as upholstered armchairs and loveseats inside, with outdoor tables and benches with cushions. Very easy to get comfy and hang out for a while with friends! The concept is a great one that Durham doesn't have a lot of (at least at this price point). The food menu includes shareable appetizer/tapas, charcuterie & fromage boards, flatbreads and sandwiches, soup and salad, and an awesome selection of deserts! Vegan and gluten-free options are available across the menu. On the beverage side, there's a huge variety of wine, cocktails, mocktails, beer, non-alcoholic beer, even sangria and dessert cocktails! I had a red sangria, "devilish" eggs (a perfect, traditional rendition of southern-style deviled eggs), and the tiramisu, which was all excellent. Everything is very reasonably priced (think Mateo or similar, but more affordable). To top it off, the service was quick, friendly and answered all the questions I had. They had a perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. University Hill is becoming a destination in itself, and Aperitif is a standout, even amongst a full lineup of other quality spots. I plan to return with friends, and soon!Dietary restrictions: Has vegan and gluten-free optionsParking: Plenty of spots all around the building

So, I checked out Aboutaperitif in Durham, NC, with my sis and aunt. The cocktails were seriously good, and we dug into this awesome charcuterie board. The place had a cool vibe, not too fancy, just right. The service was spot-on, making it a chill night out. My sis and aunt totally loved it, so if you're up for a laid-back good time, Aboutaperitif is the spot!

I brought my partner here for his birthday dessert because we had heard a lot about it. However, the cocktails were pretty hard to get through. They looked pretty but were heavy on the liquor flavor and not so much the cocktail flavor. The desserts themselves are not pictured but were only okay. I could've definitely made something of the same quality if not better. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in my experience.
