I've been coming to Beer Study for years now. I was so excited when they opened the branch in Durham and now this is my favorite spot to have a date with my husband. We've watched it grow over the years and I love the atmosphere and what they've done with the place. If you want a fancy cocktail bar and to dress up, this ain't it. This is a low key bar that's dimly lit and has fun random decorations. The music isnt too loud and the burgers were are good. Imo, this is the best place in Durham/chapel Hill for beer. I'm never disappointed.
The Devito's in the bathroom make me laugh every single time.

This place is wonderful and has a very communal vibe. The beer selection is out of this world and there's tons of space to hang out indoors and outside on the patio.
This place has some good beer. I tried 4 beers and loved all of them. There Hefe is awesome. Prices are also pretty reasonable. They even have beer and wine to shop. This establishment is connected with another establishment where you can get some food and they have a bar too. Service was quick and good. Ambiance inside is pretty huge and could have been decorated more nicely. But overall it’s good. They have an awesome outside seating too.

Outstanding draft and bottle selection, knowledgeable staff, perfect for enjoying a pint. During warm weather the garage door doors get rollers up. Bonus points for having Starpoint brewing in the back, plenty of old school arcade machines and loads of food options next door/across the street.
