Last week, I reached out to Boricua Soul to cater for my grandma’s birthday party. It was very short notice and I didn’t know how I was going to make it happen, but Serena, Toriano, and the Boricua Soul team came through!

From the amazing empanadas to the wings to helping us load everything into the car, y’all are amazing! I had plans to take leftovers but everyone beat me to it. That food was gone!

had an amazing lunch with my best friend, and everything exceeded our expectations. There was about a 45-minute wait, but it was absolutely worth it.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The service was exceptional, and you could truly feel the positive energy throughout the restaurant.

I ordered the Soul Bowl, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every bite was packed with bold flavors and made with care.

What made the experience even more special was seeing the owners actively involved—working alongside their team and cooking the food themselves. It’s clear they are passionate about their business and take pride in delivering a great experience.

If you’re looking for incredible food, outstanding customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu! Highly recommend! 🌟

The location was very nice in a very central and urban area of Durham. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The lemonades made fresh or wonderful. The food was adequate to good. Cuban sandwich did not have enough pork. Garlic fries were very good, and the chicken sandwich was as well. However, the chicken empanada was very, very small and did not have enough flavor.

The location of the restaurant is in a great spot. you can sit under a breeze way and soak in the scenery, or you can inside and listen to energetic music. The food was amazing amd well worth the wait. My only gripe was that they ran out of ice, but they have a high volume of customers that they serve.

I’ve been wanting to come to Boricua Soul since I moved here and am glad I was finally able to come. The Boricua Soul bowl was absolutely delicious! The pernil was tender and juicy. Collard greens, mac and cheese, rice, and tostones were yummy as well. Would certainly come back and recommend.

Tried it for the first time today. That cook gets down in the kitchen. He vibes & music was right, there’s a shaded spacious patio if you dont want to dine in. They have alcohol slushies. I tried the peach passion fruit caprisun/slushy made with rose. Also tried the southern fried jerk wings (fried is only available on Fridays) with mac n cheese, collard greens and plantains. Service was excellent the staff are friendly and helped me choose how to create my combo. They even let me sample the southern fried jackfruit ! Im not a vegan and that was not my cup of tea however it wasnt bad! Im just a meat eater lol
