I am a frequent visitor to Duke Hospital, and I have eaten at Bullocks Barbecue on 3 different occasions. I had full intentions on sampling their barbeque but saw some of the seafood dishes presented to fellow patrons and decided to go against the odds and see if it tasted as good as it looked. Great service and great BBQ. Bullocks has been around for a really long time. Nothing fancy just good old school bbq. They have a large menu if you don’t want bbq. The honey butter and hush puppies are fantastic. Bring cash they don’t accept credit cards.

Hushpuppies were outstanding. I ordered the Spicy Buffalo Bone in Wings. Sauce was phenomenal, fall of the bone tender with a great fried crispy coating. Loaded baked totato and brisket sandwich also great. Chopped BBQ phenomenal. Not sure how I had never been before. Kenzie our waitress was top notch. Didn't miss a single thing. Be sure to give her a big tip
