The place is a staple for the Durham area, any of the locations are recommended. The staff at all locations have always been friendly and it’s very easy to find yourself returning often.
Not a good look when a business posts that they’re open until 6 and you go in at 5:45 to a barista who rolls their eyes at you and says “it depends on what you want me to make for you” to determine whether you’re worth the bother. (I wanted a cup of hot tea to go and double checked their hours before deciding to walk there from home, then felt so unwelcome I decided not to place an order). I worked in food service for a couple decades of my life and just don’t get this...

The staff is nice enough but a little bit terse. I ordered a decaf cortado and the micro foam was pretty rough and it tasted burnt — not as good as I expected.
Pastry selection is somewhat limited. Nice that they have a water station. Parking is pretty limited. The space inside is nice to work at.
