Crank Arm is rad in a world that is full of bad.
This place is so much more than a bar. The run club is huge, supportive, and chill; trivia welcomes all kinds of nerds; the Wednesday bike ride has grown exponentially; and Crank Arm is constantly supporting bike, walking, accessibility, and advocacy events across Durham.

Good beer, dog-friendly, and a great part of both the neighborhood and the cycling community. The two pinball machines don’t hurt either.
Off the wall bar. Great beer

Crank Arm Brewing Company Durham is a good looking bar with even better beers. It offers a great variety, from pilsners to DIPA to sours to red ales, with selections available in cans to take home. The staff is friendly, professional, and always happy to give a sample. It is a favorite Durham bar, good for watching games with a great vibe. Both IPAs were perfect, including the Chainring circus. The brewery also serves craft cocktails. It is dog friendly inside and out, with a dog park next door. There is no kitchen, but guests can bring their own food, order from a Mexican place next door, or find a food truck on weekends. Parking is free for 2h in the lot right across. Walking distance to DPAC and a mile from the bulls stadium, it is a must visit.
