This was my first time visiting Da Kine's Kava. My drink was refreshing; it was a little different, but I'll be back. I liked the outdoor seating, and the staff was nice.

Great bar alternative if you're looking for something besides alcohol! I like the chai mana or hot chocolate with CBD. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff and lots of regulars who keep the atmosphere light and sociable. Bartenders like Kari do a great job of explaining the menu and helping newcomers find something delicious!

Da Kines offers a calming atmosphere with great music, ambiance, and vibes. Their employees are warm, welcoming, genuine people who not only serve delicious beverages, but cultivate a culture of caring kindness. I couldn’t speak more highly of this place!! A must go if in the Downtown Durham area.

I love this place! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly bartenders and owners with consistently excellent drinks that you can tell they put so much time into perfecting. There are regulars here all the time and it really fosters a great sense of community. I especially love the rotating seasonal kava flavors on tap! It’s great to have a non alcoholic bar alternative in Durham and I can’t recommend it enough!

I think i’ve let this slide for a while now but some time ago. My partner and I walked in here once hoping to try something new but once we walked in. We were met with a hostile atmosphere from both the crowd and the person working behind. After that i have never felt such hostility and wanted to leave immediately but i decided to still go forward hoping its a misunderstanding but was still met with grudge. I have never felt such stress and discomfort anywhere in Durham. Truly disappointed in a place that was ment to make you feel welcomed but instead made us feel out of place.But regardless of service, i quite enjoyed their hibiscus lemonade kava and their cucumber mojito.

Extremely rude. Unpleasant experience all round. Actively aggressive staff that lies.I googled coffee shops and saw that Da Kine's had coffee on the menu. I parked in an entirely empty lot and was not sure they were open but saw someone inside. As I was headed to the door I was accosted by someone who assumed I was heading to the business next door.When I said I was headed to Da Kine's, she told me they were not open for another hour. I suggested that since she was there she could sell me a cup of coffee. She told me they did not sell coffee even though it is listed on the menu.This business pays an employee to police an empty parking lot. It is clear that the parking lot is the biggest draw for them. They prioritize their turf over serving potential customers.

Kava's a non-alcoholic relaxing drink - if you haven't had it before just ask and they're happy to explain it to you or answer any questions! The kava itself is pretty bitter by itself, but they have a big selection of mocktails, and you can tailor the amount of kava in your drink. It's a small space, but comfortable to relax with friends!

The best kava bar in Durham! Decided to come here one night, after work, and ordered green kratom “Florida Style”. The tea was the perfect strength and kratom was of great quality. This place had an amazing vibe, great music, and very friendly staff. I live in St. Petersburg, Florida (known to have the most kava bars in the country) and I would rank this bar with some of the top kava bars in that area. Well done Da Kine’s!??????????

Very nice people here and barista. The only thing I’d recommended is that there should be more information on the ingredient Kratom. Since this substance is natural, new and upcoming, some people have good experiences and others not. I just wish I had more information about it before ingesting. Thanks.
