The food was top notch, and the atmosphere was super cozy and hip. Absolutely delicious ramen and the KFC cauliflower appetizer was stellar! Definitely a great choice for ramen!

One of the best restaurants in Downtown Durham, and THE best ramen in the area hands down. Staff are always incredibly friendly and the vibes in both the ramen bar downstairs and the izakaya upstairs are so aestheticly pleasing. We love Dashi and can't wait for our next date night here!
PS: Yes, you DO want another egg in your ramen. You're welcome.

Used to live this place even worked here at one point their turn over rate is wild and def not a comfortable work environment however I’m here today to bring attention to the lack of attention the staff and chefs are making I had an allergy and was given misubi with a giant wad of wasabi on the end as if it came in contact somehow before being given to me , my ramen has several things I specifically asked not to have or to add and those requests were not met either I shouldn’t have to express I have n allergy when I’m asking to not have it there in the first place this establishment clearly isn’t doing any better than when I was last here and I think today is my last visit I even drove an hour for this

Cute spot with nice vibes. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Food wasn’t bad but would try a different dish.

I got the tonkonstu ramen. The egg was great, the broth wasnt good too sour or vinegary. The pork belly was delicious and so was the pork buns. But the ramen was the worst ive ever had in durham. And the atmosphere wasnt super, but it was clean. And the service sucked. There was a sign that said wait to be seated so I waited. For like 10 min. Only three table were in there and two had paid. While I sat there waiting. So I sat my self and the girl just looked at me. I told her I came in twice and waited there and nothing happen. Then I ordered and I sat at the bar. Tell me why when the food was made it just sat there. I didnt know it was mine and I guess the cook who im sat in front of didnt know it was my ramen. So the bowl just sat beside me, where all the other food order sat. Then the girl has it to me. And I had to snatch utensils from a table bc none were given to me. I was happy to finish didnt leave a tip. Won't got back. Only bc the ramen isn't as good as other places.

I always come in for the Happy hour special between 3-6pm Monday through Friday. The service, food, and specials are great! My favorite mid day meal. Thank you, Dashi!
Food is mediocre. I should have just ate somewhere else. Got the tonkatsu and nori fries. Every bit was a disappointment and disgust with what this restaurant is doing to their guests. It was $13 for fries with Mayo, tonkatsu sauce, and some nori flakes. Ramen lacked the rich flavor tonkatsu deserved

Got the chicken hearts. Pretty good !
I don't recommend,
Unpleasant atmosphere and everything is very slow. Better to go somewhere else in the area.
