“Our first time dining at Nikos and it did not disappoint! Our server Mirna explained the menu and she made some recommendations which we really appreciated. She was top notch server and she was very attentive. The branzino and lamb kafta was delicious! The restaurant was lively but not too loud. Our table was cozy and we really loved the entire vibe as well as the seating. We are so happy to have a Michelin restaurant in Durham and we now understand! We made a reservation to come back again for my birthday.“

“We returned today after finding the food declining a couple of years ago. We were very pleasantly surprised to find it newly decorated and my husband's huevos rancheros were once again proclaimed "really good" (he is Mexican) even though they were out of rice. My Connie Benedict was perfect. The Hollandaise sauce had returned to its previous creaminess and the eggs were perfectly done. Not sure if the new decor is responsible for the acoustics, but it was very noisy“

“Ordered the traditional gyro. Pita was soft. Lettuce tomatoes and taziki sauce were good. Meat looked like it was in preformed shapes, not sliced fresh off the rotating hunk of meat that other gyro places have. The meat slices had grill marks on them and tasted like they had artificial smoke added. I was burping it up for hours afterwards.“
