“I celebrated my birthday at Taverna Agora, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end! The customer service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. They even called several times before my reservation to confirm my guest count and seating preference, which showed how much they value preparation and customer satisfaction.

We originally requested a table on their beautiful rooftop, but after one of my guests started getting bitten by mosquitoes, we asked if we could move indoors. The staff didn’t hesitate—they quickly accommodated our request without making us feel like it was an inconvenience.

One of my favorite touches of the evening was that they kept my favorite drink coming all night without me ever having to ask twice. It made me feel truly celebrated and taken care of.

The food, atmosphere, and hospitality made my birthday one to remember. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a great meal with outstanding service, I can’t recommend Taverna Agora enough. “My wife and I were really craving a gyro and found the spot last night. We both got the Beef and lamb. The tzatziki sauce was great! The lady working at the counter was extremely helpful too. And they are open late! This is really convenient for my wife and I“

“First time stopping in Showmars and I must say it was DELIGHTFUL! Their wide range, delicious looking menu made it a challenge to decide what to try for my first visit. The cashier was very friendly, patient and helpful to me as a first-timer. I finally settled on The Original Pita Burger and added tomatoes. It was very delicious and the price wasn't too outrageous. I will absolutely be back to try something else on their huge menu!“

“I went here and the food was good. Nothing that will blow your mind, but the food is fresh and is tasty. I got the Meze Platter, which was a nice assortment of different appetizers. The Tzatziki sauce and hummus are very good. Kind of works with anything on your plate. I got the Greek Bowl with chicken kebab. I enjoyed the rice and chicken combo. Still good and the kebab was alright. Lastly I got the Yeero Platter with Lamb. So good. I honestly wished there was a bit more lamb. But it was still good. Just know this is not a sit in restaurant, it’s apart of a food court. But I recommend it to anybody that needs some fast food and wants Greek.“

“This place is spectacular! We ended up here by chance because the nazi owner of the Falls of Neuse Chik fil a down the street wouldn't let us walk 15 feet to a table without masks on. Let me be clear when I say that we are done with that mask game. We will not patronize a business that requires masks. Period! My money will be spent elsewhere. My wife stumbled upon Taza Grille and when we went to check it out, we found wonderful people running it. People like us. People that have common sense. Sam the owner will treat you like family from the moment you walk in. Sam's right hand man and his wife also were awesome! I had a lamb gyro with fries and hummus. It was seasoned perfectly! One of the best, if not the best gyro I've ever had. Please patronize businesses like Sam's. Make the businesses that are using cruel and unnecessary restrictions hurt financially. Stop giving them business. Make the stupidity stop. Thank you Sam and Tazas Grill! We will see you every week before or after our doctor's appointment and will bring the new baby soon!“

“Food was good, although temperature was a bit too cold. They were closing in a half hour and didn't have gyro on roller. Gyro was already cut they weren't keeping it hot enough within the steam table.....thus loosing a star. Baklava was good but used to be better. It used to be my favorite baklava anywhere. I believe they used to get it from Chapel Hill if I remember correctly. Been hitting both Hillsborough locations for many years when in Raleigh.“
