An old gas station that was converted into a cool eatery. There is plenty of seating, indoors and out. Limited bar selection but enough to hit the classics like a mimosa or bloody mary. I loved the Sunrise mimosa! The staff was friendly and helpful. The food could have been better. It was a bit odd, but their wheat toast was amazing. It's a retro atmosphere with very diverse patrons and a laid-back vibe.
We didn't have any issues, but you order and pay upfront and then take your seat. When we left, the line had gotten incredibly long and was moving super slow.
the food was amazing, very good atmosphere, I would recommend this restaurant to everybody
We went in, waited in line to order, and this older lady at the register was extremely rude to my friend and I. We were waiting to order, and this lady snapped at us twice purely because we were waiting in line. I truly have never experienced such bad customer service like this, honestly it was a shock. We walked in and immediately walked right out. Will never go back.
Holy best biscuits and gravy ever!!! My burger was elevated! Juicy, tasty and finger licking good! If you are in the area get here. It’s worth your time. Your belly will thank you🥰 Not to mention we were jamming the whole time playlist on point!
Varying delicious options are always a plus. My Corned Beef sandwich was savory and hearty.
Great place, good food. Would recommend.

Either I ordered the wrong thing or the ambience overlooks the quality. Grits & brisket did not deliver. It was so bland I poured a half a bottle of hot sauce on it. A simple but delicious salsa would solve this problem. What I saw of other peoples wasn’t exactly exciting either. The service was very slow for a Monday and I was surprised my bill was $20+ for a drink and a simple breakfast. Go for a drink or dinner maybe and the ambience but skip the boring breakfast.
Dietary restrictions: There wet some gluten free options on the menu which was the draw for me.

Always a good time at Grub. Whenever I go to Durham, I try to make my way over there. For the biscuits and jam. The breakfast bowls are amazing also. Make sure you grab a seat before you order, it can fill up quickly.

DEAR LORD THIS PLACE. First - next level food (more on that in a second). Second - legit prices. Third - atmosphere, venue, and location. I love everything about it.
NOW ABOUT THE FOOD. It's crazy to say but only had two dishes and a couple of sides and there were at least three things that are unbelievable. The House Cured CORNED BEEF is absolutely out of this world, (out of this world) and I'm not somebody that normally orders it. It was just incredible. Secondly, the In-House Made CASHEW ALMOND PEANUT BUTTER I could eat from a large cereal bowl. Seriously, if you go try Grub you absolutely need to order a side of the almond cashew peanut butter and eat it with a damn spoon. Third, the carrot cake was 1000% homemade and incredible. Everything else was awesome, also had the blue devil smoothie and it was fantastic. And the breakfast cocktails were totally reasonably low priced.

We stopped at the GRUB for some breakfast while on vacation. Unfortunately I did not get many pictures but the place was very cute, large seating area inside and out. You do have to order and pay at the counter then the food comes out to you. We got pretty basic items, The Rocket and Buttermilk Flapjacks. They were very bland, nothing special about it unfortunately but they do have an amazing oatmeal raisin cookie! Apparently others really love this place but I wouldn't recommend it.

Out of all the places my Daughter and I ate for 3 days, GRUB Durham was the BEST with the best prices and food. We actually ate there twice. We will be back on our next visit.

At some point, ownership of this restaurant decided that they would not offer tap water to their patrons. If you want water, you have to purchase their bottled water. I've returned several times over the past year hoping this ridiculous policy would be dropped, but they're still trying to enforce it to nickel and dime customers. At this point, I'm done with them.

We LOVED Grub! It was our first time visiting Durham and we decided to try this spot and it was totally worth it. The Cinnamon roll was INSANE and I hate Cinnamon. The Ribs were tender and the Brussel Sprouts were otherworldly. The vibe was cool and welcoming. Wendy took care of us and she was super sweet and answered our questions without hesitation. She gave us recommendations that didn’t miss and a local named Frank helped us out too. We will definitely be back again.
