I love this place. I love everything about this place. I have never had anything that wasn’t incredibly good. Bless 💕

I genuinely feel like I was played in my face.

I came here excited to try this place and everything went downhill fast. I ordered curry chicken with rice and peas and collard greens. After I paid and sat there waiting, I was told they were out of collard greens and needed to substitute it. Fine.

Then, after waiting again, I was called back up only to be told they didn’t have enough curry chicken. Why am I being charged for food you don’t even have? That should have been communicated before taking my money. I was told there was only one piece left and asked what I wanted to add to make the plate full. I requested curry goat and the guy immediately told me no he couldn’t do that.

So why ask me what I wanted if my options were already decided for me? On top of that, the attitude from the staff made the situation even more frustrating.

Now let’s talk about the food because wow.

The curry chicken smelled horrible like reused old chicken that had been sitting for days. I was honestly scared to eat it. The jerk chicken was dry, burnt, and had absolutely no flavor. Nothing about it was jerk.

The rice and peas were undercooked. The rice was hard and the peas were hard to chew. I also requested extra gravy, which they specifically ask you about, and still didn’t get it, so what was the point of asking?

This was not authentic Jamaican food. It felt like people trying to make food they haven’t mastered. The entire experience was unorganized, unprofessional, and disappointing. Between the poor customer service and the terrible food quality, I will not be returning.

Save your money.

We tried the oxtail, curry goat, jerk chicken and jerk pork. They were all so delicious and came in pretty generous portions. I thought the rice and peas, and cabbage were amazing sides. The staff members were also very friendly.

This place could not find our order, in from Charlotte. Dasher indicated poor business practices. After viewing the other concerns should have ordered some place different.

Dear Miss Angie,
I love my wife, but you need to turn down the amount of love and flavor in your food because it's causing problems in my marriage. Miss Angie your food is amazing and a great backup to my wife's cooking. 😉 If You love Jamaican food please try Angie's Jamaican Grill for the best experience.

My Jamaican mom was visiting here, and we were visiting our Jamaican family, and boy the food was so good! We had the curried goat, oxtail, rice and peas, fried plantains, baked mac and cheese and cabbage! The goat and oxtail were so tender, just how it should be! The fried plantains, mac and cheese and cabbage were so flavorful and just perfect! 10/10!!!!! The service great too because we ordered alot and they were able to separate everything how we wanted. Everyone was very friendly! Truly nothing negative to report, we got the food in a good amount of time too! Thank you Angies, we will certainly be back!
