This is my 2nd time eating here & eventhough it’s been a few yrs it’s as delicious as I remember the first time. The food was HOT & FRESH !! seasoned well , no salt or pepper required. Anytime I’m in the area they will always have a customer in me & my family. Don’t walk but run. The customer service is always on point as well.

THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!! First and foremost I am big on Customer Service and it was terrible. The lady at front acting like she so busy and really aren’t doing absolutely NOTHING. We waited on our already prepared food for about 25 mins, due to us been overlooked. The young lady up front NEVER said anything, never apologized for the wait or nothing. We gets the food… ribs, shrimp, cabbage collards, pinto beans and sweet potato soufflé. ALL items was terrible and over seasoned to where you couldn’t figure out what you were eating if you were blindfolded. Will absolutely NEVER return. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Was told to try this place by a co worker. It was not good food, very salty, couldn't even eat it. Two plates for forty dollars then had to ask for my dessert because it wasn't in the bag. Try some other place.Would never eat it again

Ok now. I ordered the 2 piece fish whiting entree. It was absolutely disappointing. I thought I,'d get 2 nice size pieces of fried fish like soul style but what I got was lightly battered baby size thin pieces of fish. Very thin, little and salty. This was the one on Miami so maybe they cook different because we know better. Paid almost $10 so this absolutely deserves only 3 stars. Back to Capital Seafood I go. I wanted soul fried fish! Back off the salt as well please! And they could have kept the dot size (2) hush puppies. Sorry, I know y'all can do better.

Terrible food and customer service! I didn’t get all the food I PAID for and they gaslit me saying i did. On top of that, the ribs and Mac was overall dry as chalk

On February 21st, 2025 I visited Let’s Eat Soul Fool, and I can honestly say “SAVE YOUR MONEY”‼️ When you go to a down south diner you expect a soul food restaurant that serves up delicious chicken and dumplings, pork chops, fried wings, mac and cheese, and collards and anything in between.

As college student pulling up to the restaurant who is doing food delivery on the side to make money to pay bills I was met with a screaming owner who was yelling at me screaming “I need to pick up orders on the side of the building”

The GM came out and apologized for the nasty demeanor and unprofessional behavior of the owner and said she does this to all delivery drivers and they asked her to put up a sign up the door.

I would not eat at this restaurant if my life depended on it. The owner showed she lacks leadership, compassion, empathy, no friendly service and nothing about her showed respect or lack comfort the way she jumped out of her vehicle and started yelling at me a delivery service employee someone who is giving money to her restaurant. Another African American worker at that. You showed to me you lack leadership and you just showed future customers to never come back there anymore. I will and forever more save my money.

Food was good, I got the fried chicken wings. Just wished I knew that when I asked for sauce, I would've know that the chicken would be tossed in it. My fault for misunderstanding.

This looked so good by the menu. Called before we went to make sure they were open since it was after 9:30 pm. Was told they were open until 1 am. So drive across town, the opposite direction of home only to see it was take out only. (Live over an hour away so would have been much better to eat in instead of in the car or it be cold by the time I arrive home). Though the sign on the door said open and "dine in" was also lit up. Called again just to make sure they weren't doing dine in. The lady that answered said "no" and hung up though I was still talking and about to explain they didn't specify no dine in when I called. Which would have been helpful. Customer service seems to be lacking at this place. So I took my business elsewhere.

Great food! So you don't mind the very modest dining space and seating. The food IS the atmosphere!

Dietary restrictions: Don't go if you have any...lol

I recently had the unfortunate experience with the owner of let’s eat soul food while dining at another local restaurant. It’s always disappointing when someone with such potential for positivity in the community—especially the owner of a black-owned business—chooses to exhibit behavior that is less than gracious. As a patron of her own establishment, she would likely want to foster a welcoming environment, yet when dining out herself, she displayed a level of condescension and rudeness that was truly off-putting.

It’s one thing to wear your restaurant's brand proudly; it’s another to embody the complete opposite of the warmth and hospitality that any good restaurant owner should encourage. The way she interacted with both staff and other patrons was a stark contrast to the values she likely wishes to instill in her own restaurant. It was difficult to overlook her aggressive tone, dismissive attitude, and general lack of courtesy to those around her. I couldn’t help but think: if she wouldn’t want her employees treated this way, why is she comfortable acting this way herself?

When you're in a position of leadership, particularly in a community-focused business, people pay attention to how you treat others. It’s essential to set an example that aligns with the standards you claim to uphold. In this case, unfortunately, her actions spoke louder than her brand ever could.

As someone who values supporting local businesses, especially those that represent black ownership, it’s hard not to feel disappointed. I truly hope she takes the time to reflect on the example she sets, both in the restaurant and in public, as her behavior could be a significant deterrent to future customers who may not feel welcome in such an environment. Everyone deserves respect, and it would be refreshing to see her practice what she likely preaches at her own establishment.

Worst restaurant!!! I am visiting from nyc. I found this place on Google and could not place an online order. I called and was guided through placing my order and but still nothing. All 7 attempts were canceled.
Only to be told to try at after 7. Still nothing.

Today I just physically pulled up to be advised to go to a windows that doesn't open until 7:30.

No food is that good to be treated like this. And I will be leaving the same review on yelp. Because I know it can not be deleted there.. RESPECTFULLY YOU SUCK!!!
