Locals Seafood is the best place to get fresh NC seafood from NC. The fresh oysters can’t be beat. The fish sandwich is fresh and pan seared and served with a handmade sauce on a good bun. This is my go to place every week to get my seafood fix. The staff is always a pleasure and ensure the experience is a great one I can not give a higher recommendation for fresh seafood harvested right here in NC. 5 stars!
Best seafood in Durham, no contest. Locals sources everything from NC fishermen and it shows — the freshness is on another level compared to everywhere else.
Get the whole fried fish special. You won’t regret it. This place is a gem and I’ll keep coming back every chance I get. Five stars all day.

Such high quality seafood! Really enjoyed the oysters on the half shell, smoked fish roll, and that might have been the best kale I have ever had (maybe steamed with fish stock?). Portions we generous, food was delicious- I will definitely be returning.
