I only leave reviews when I think it's worth it, and M Kokko was worth every cent. I'm from Philadelphia, and M Kokko is the first place I've tried in RDU that matches the authenticity, flavor, and style of Korean and Asian inspired cuisine back home. My waitress, Ness, was kind and attentive, and felt like I was talking to a friend. Everyone there was really chill and down to earth. I'll definitely be back, especially for the banh mi and ramen.
My favorite ramen in Durham - served fresh, hot, and full of flavor (unfortunately cannot say the same for Dashi right down the street). The spicy paste you can add in is more flavorful than hot. Small and gets busy quickly (they don’t take reservations) but 2 parking garages are nearby and there are plenty of great spots around to grab a drink while you wait. The Korean Fried Chicken was soooo delicious and I loved my cocktail, which was like a take on a lemon drop.
We’re visiting from NYC is this was one of the best meals we’ve had this year. Everything we got was delicious and filling. The yuzu dessert was a perfect ending. A must visit for anyone in the Triangle.
