We had such a great experience at The Restaurant at the Durham Hotel - our waiter was phenomenal, food was great - could have been slightly hotter, and we were out in plenty of time to see our show at DPAC.
When my daughter was researching cool places to stay in Durham before we attending a concert, this was the top of her list. Very retro and comfy. I was surprised they used the same seating area for the coffee bar and the restaurant, but when we arrived for our reservation, it was very natural. Great seating, lighting and the service Alex gave us was superb.

We visited for my wife's birthday. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The service was very good. We brought a bottle of wine as the wine selection is not great, but they have a reasonable corkage fee. The bartender decanted the wine for us as soon as we were seated - nice touch.
