This was my first time visiting NuvoTaco. I’ve always rode past, but never stopped for chow. I enjoyed the quick service & friendly staff. They ensured we had everything we needed. I ordered the $12 lunch special and it was filling.
Ordered online, I got the chicken rotisserie chicken burrito with a side of fried shrimp. I also ordered the queso with chips. I noticed when using Toast online ordering the salsa had no price so I ordered extra tortilla chips and like four small salsa's to go with my meal. No salsa was in the bag however I got like 4 bags of tortilla chips. Also, the burrito tasted like i shredded chicken and slapped it in a tortilla. No seasoning, no taste. $35.00 I spent to be so disappointed. No bueno.
The value and food was ok. The food could use a little more seasoning. To me, it was a little bland. The margaritas and corn dip and salsa were good. I had the garlic beef, pork and fish tacos. The fish taco was the best out of the 3. I forgot to take photos.
Always a consideration for our family. Great food and atmosphere
Look it's a nice place to relax and cool off but the food was cold and tasted reheated ( like a few days old and reheated) for the amount of taco joints around this will be my only visit
Several vegan options. The vegan chorizo tacos were really good but the salsa was outstanding!
Great spot for tacos. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. All the food we had was delicious and service was fast. Grilled shrimp tacos and street corn were especially good.
Family got bbq from the establishment next door so I did a take out order of a big burrito. It’s nice because cheese and sour cream are added (paid) extras so you don’t have to worry about them accidentally adding them if you don’t pay for them. The takeout was ready when it said it would be and the vegan chorizo had good flavor but other than the chorizo, it was pretty bland. I would be concerned if you did just roasted veggies (I almost did this) as it might lack a ton of flavor. But I will try that selection next time out of curiosity and update my review accordingly.
Went here for the first time in over a decade the other day
The tacos were ok, but the corn tortillas were delicious!
The Mexican chocolate spicy milkshake was also delicious, but too thick for the tiny straw they gave me - they could definitely use some bigger straws!
I'd love to say I'll be back, but the location/parking makes it kinda difficult.

NavoTaco in Durham is a must-visit if you’re looking for excellent food and a laid-back atmosphere. While the service was a bit slow during my visit, the wait was absolutely worth it. The quality of the food more than made up for the slight delay. Each dish was packed with fresh flavors, and the tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell they put care into the preparation and ingredients.
The variety on the menu allowed me to try a few different items, and everything was delicious. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the portion sizes were just right. Whether you’re in the mood for classic options or something a bit more adventurous, NavoTaco does not disappoint.
The overall experience was one of the best I’ve had in the Durham area. The food was outstanding, and the casual, relaxed vibe made it a great spot to enjoy a meal. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend giving NavoTaco a try—it’s definitely worth it!!!

The duck quesadilla was great! But the restaurant messed up my husbands order, and the street corn dip was laughably disappointing. It was $9 for about 30 cents of canned corn. It did not taste good and was a tiny amount, in one of the same ramekins as their house salsa.
