Amazing service. I have to say though, the pastries were subpar. The morning bun had a firm texture, with no flavour, and the cookies were so dry I had to soak it in my coffee.

Loved this place. A lot of food and baked offerings. Friendly workers. Dense tasty breads. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Marcus (not sure how to spell the name, the one with fantastic hair) took care of a minor problem with professionalism and wonderful hospitality! My friends and I drop by every Sunday for a cinnamon bun and coffee. It’s been our tradition for the past year and it’s been a JOY to be greeted by Marcus every Sunday. Thank you for always making our Sundays extra sweet with your delicious baked goods and great customer service :)

I like the atmosphere. The food is good but not mind blowing. It's bread. I like their cinnamon rolls and will go out of my way to get one. The bad thing is that they cannot heat them up in this location (where they actually make them lol). If you find them elsewhere (even in Mebane at Filament) they have a microwave to transform these from great to insane.

I love Ninth Street Bakery. They have been around for years and have seemingly adapted with the times, now offering a diverse array of baked goods and healthy food to choose from, not to mention the great beverage selection. The space is comforting and inviting, especially the outdoor seating. I also love their swag! (shirts, hats, bags, etc.).

We love Ninth Street Bakery!!! They come to the South Durham Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and always have a great variety of breads and pastries. Today we bought a Carmelized Onion Rye (pre-sliced) and can't wait to tear into it. We also got a new pastry (Reuben Croissant) that is out of this world!! They are always so nice and we are lucky to have them come to the market!
I got the Indian lentil soup and bread.huge portions, and delicious.

Excellent and reliable. When you enter, the smell of fresh baked goods is overwhelming and bringing great memories. They have a pretty sitting area with view on a parking lot and downtown Durham (it would be great if the lot would be replaced with a park l). Wonderful scones, oatmeal raisin cookies, croissants and breads.

A great place downtown Durham. We love the baked goods and coffee. Always fun to go on a Saturday morning or during a workday on the run.

Cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Had lunch here with my daughter and grandkids, we got soups and sandwiches and had to take rest of our sandwiches home as the soups are nice large bowls and served with bread on the side. Everything tasted fresh and had nice flavor to the soups. Would definitely eat here again when passing through Durham.

of course all the baked goods are great - my favorites are the whole wheat and sunflower breads. always a vegan soup in rotation. but even better is the commitment to the community. just a great business all around
