Food was great. Service substandard. Ordered a bottle of wine that never made it to the table. Recommended food...mid.

The drinks are great. Everything tastes fresh. I would go here for a relaxed meal, not a brief one. The quinoa could be enhanced by adding a bit of infused oil for flavor. It could use an over easy egg to make it more substantial also.

Havent been here in awhile and went to celebrate a birthday. I noted this when I made the reservation as well as mentioned it to our server but unfortunately the birthday wasn’t acknowledged in any way; disappointing. In addition we had a reservation for a table for 5 and put us right next to the bar, also unfortunate since it was thoroughfare for staff and service people. Checked out the menu on line before choosing the restaurant and particularly went here for a specific dinner entree listed. Come to find out the actual menu had changed and the entry was no longer available or on the menu. Those are the negatives. The cocktails were good; fresh like springtime. The food was also very good. Everyone in the party enjoyed what they ordered and we all had a variety of items…steak, pasta, and seafood dishes. We ate indoors but outside dining is also available. Ive never had a bad meal here.

This is our second trip to this restaurant. The 1st time we went there our waiter had such a thick Caribbean or African accent that I had difficulty understanding him, so I made a request for this evening . Our reservations were for 6 o'clock, and we got there about 5:30. At that point, the restaurant was about half-full, but there were still tables to choose from. We sat at the bar for a drink. Although there appeared to be plenty of waiters and waitresses, the bar service was slow. The interior of the restaurant itself is beautiful. Our waitress was pleasant and perky. The 1st time I visited this restaurant I ordered the pork chop which consists of 2 meat-on-bone chops underneath a thick fig and bacon rendering which was delicious! Tonight I ordered the ribeye. I can only say that this was mediocre. It was cooked well , but the piece of meat had little flavor after I scraped off the mushroom sauce on top. There were no side dishes included with the entrée which was regrettable given its price ($38).Not to be too particular, but their bread was unusual . It seemed to be to be a combination of sourdough and wheat.I would like to see them add a couple of entrées to their menu for a wider selection. Overall, I think that this is a nice restaurant, albeit somewhat expensive.

I took my daughter here to celebrate her new job. The decor and ambiance was GORGEOUS!!! We sat towards the middle of the restaurant and had a view of the garden area in the back. That coupled with the opulent esthetic of the restaurant immediately put me in a good mood. Our waiter was amazing and service was great until it was time for our entrees to come out. There were 2 large parties there and it took 45 minutes for our entrees to come out after we had finished our entrees. I was trying to be considerate but when the food arrived, 1 plate of food was hot and the other was warm. The food tasted good but I wish it was hot so I didn't fully enjoy it until the next day warmed up leftovers. So that annoyed me after waiting so long and I felt like the waiter avoided us a bit during the wait because he knew we were annoyed. Anywho, I'd recommend the pork chop, hummus, spicy shrimp appetizer and turtle cake. I will be back.

Oh for f-sake! I spent 45 minutes writing a review and google deleted it. Short story: place is very expensive with absurdly slow service but incredibly good food.

Parizade is my GoTo place when I'm in Durham NC. The restaurant's offerings on its ever-evolving menu are as superb as its preparation of those delicious items. The wines and the service are equally great. What other place could be a better soul-fulfilling experience? None!

There is a lot to take in visually in this fun yet sophisticated restaurant. The interior design is wonderful, with a varied array of lighting and structures to break up the large area. Our table felt private and we could converse easily. A few minor miscues aside, service was good. The menu is varied, reasonably priced given the quality and portions and there are a few good wines under $50/bottle. This is not a tapas restaurant, so enjoy a starter and then focus on the entrees, which are the stars. Our party of 5 enjoyed all of our dishes, and after seeing the whole fish (snapper was the special), I am certain it would have been excellent.
