I'd say it was quite mediocre, sadly. We tried the restaurant for the first time during restaurant week, hoping that the experience would be good enough to put the restaurant on our rotating list. We were looking for a restaurant close to the performing arts center and found that Piedmont Restaurant was only about a half mile away. The restaurant is open and small and can be a bit noisy as we were seated upstairs and there was a large gathering downstairs. That would be the only downside to our dining experience. The freshest and most flavorful meal. I had a pilsner thst was refreshing. My table had the cauliflower "steak" we fought over it. We also had the lasagna that was fantastic. Glazed carrots and hush puppies were the side. Out server was friendly and quick. This is a great place to eat in Durham.
