I love this location. I've had 1 issue and it wasn't their fault it was really mine because I didn't read the menu correctly. I called the store and explained the issue and the Assistant manager was a huge help. She insisted on fixing it even though it was my fault, this says a lot! There is a great leadership team and an amazing employees. I normally go in the night after work and I've always got hot food and fresh . They are my favorite location ! I'm big on customer service and how I get treated and will advocate for them. Advice to anyone that has an issue with this location, give them a chance to fix an issue. Everyone has made errors in their lifetime it's not fair that we hold them to a higher standard. Be understanding to certain situations. Before calling corporate to complain call the store first. I wouldn't advise that if I didn't know from experience with this location, that customers are important to them! Thank you guys for taking care of me. I've been going to this location at least 4 months. If you haven't been in a while try it again!!!!

Referring to the Popeyes in Durham on guess rd. The food is good most of the time, but they Are usually rude and VERY iffy and skimpy on their sauce. specifically one girl that works here through the drive through who is ALWAYS rude and NEVER asks or gives us our sauce, and when we ask for our sauce she rudely sais "you have to pay" which we don't mind at all but she makes it very difficult in a rude way just because she doesn't give us our sauce. Sauce is very important to me and my husband.

Hi all! This is in reference to the Popeye's on HWY 55 in Durham. I waited so long for this place to open, since I prefer it over Bojangles...what a disappointment! They never have the advertised specials, the managers treat their employees like they have no worth...the food is old since they don't get many customers, and they claim they have spicy and regular. They only have regular. I have never in the three visits I've made gotten spicy chicken. I even took it back once in hopes that I would get spicy, when I took it home it was exactly the same! I normally go to the one on Western Blvd... where I can get fresh chicken, spicy chicken that has spicy taste, and the food is much fresher. I do not recommend this Popeye's at all. I went on Friday past, and the rice and beans were slimy and spoiled. The so-called spicy chicken was very old, like it came out the frig old and cooked and served to customers to avoid waste and loss of money. The employees are frustrated since they feel no value and are scolded in front of customers. Even the managers are snotty to customers at times. It is with sad regret that I will not go here anymore, since it is very close to home, but the lack of customer satisfaction is important to me since money is important to them.

I went through the drive through on 10/08/2023 I ordered two spicy chicken without pickles and added bacon and cheese they could not get that right no bacon n cheese plus had pickles and was not spicy. I guess they give you what they want I was more then ten miles away so I just threw away as I am allergic to pickles

I wouldn't even give this place one star because I ordered THREE chicken sandwiches and after an hour and fifteen minutes, I finally received 3, but not the 3 that I ordered. After an hour, they finally told me they don't sell the blackened chicken sandwich and it's even advertised there. 4 different employees tried to help me and kept telling the manager what I was waiting for and she just blew me off and kept getting other orders. They were treating everyone the same way and this lady had NO CLUE how to run anything. She could've at least been pleasant. Might I add, there were tons of employees working there so the excuse of not enough employees working was not the case. I love Popeyes, but I will never go there again and plan on contacting Popeye's main office, not the location, to let them know how their brand is being represented. Get new management at the Southpoint mall in Durham!

The Meredith Drive Popeyes in Durham NC #13693 is the cleanest, Friendliest Popeyes we have ever visited by far. The food was great and the order taker was awesome! Friday 5-19-2023 at 11:42 am. The only other thing is BRING BACK THE CAJUN RICE!!!!!!!!!

We asked for fresh fries and they gave us the old fries on the bottom and put fresh on the top. Will not be returning. I use to love bojangles but 9x out of 10 it will be a bad experience

I ordered an 8 piece just chicken. Four wings were so small I thought ordered a kid's meal. This is the only location me and my husband usually go to. Very disappointed we will have to find another location. Also, the chicken seems as if it's been sitting out all day was not freshly made.

The Chicken is only good when they first open at 10. The reason they get a 3 is because they always forget something. Hope this tip helps!

Went thru drive thru order 3 piece white, wife order tender basket. I didn't check the order when we drove off got home had 2 oders of cold tenders. No fries even tho we were charged. I guess I should have checked the order and not expected them to get it correct. Bad day for popeyes. Wouldnt mind the tendders but they were cold and rubbery. I GUESS i will mark them off as a place I won't be back.

Our first Popeyes experience in the Triangle was a good one. Where we're from, Atlanta, Popeyes is popular and almost has a cult status among several of my friends. There are three Popeyes locations in Durham: (1) This one on Guess Road, just off I-85 exit 175; (2) South Square, just off 15-501; and (3) The Streets at Southpoint shopping mall. The drive-thru at this Popeyes is almost always busy when we drive past it after a Costco run. People love Popeyes fried chicken. Can't blame them. It's delicious. We did Uber Eats for this Popeyes and had them deliver to our Chapel Hill home. This Guess Road location isn't as close to Chapel Hill as the other Durham locations, but this is what pulled up on the Uber Eats app at the time. Surprisingly, even after the food had been sitting in a takeout bag for, I estimate, 30-60 minutes (our driver had one stop before us), everything tasted good. The chicken obviously wasn't as hot and crispy as if we'd eaten at the restaurant, but it was still quite tasty, so were the sides and the spicy chicken sandwich we got.The only thing that was bad was the Coke that came with our sandwich combo. The drink got watered down from the melted ice, so I poured it out.We got a 12-piece family meal, spicy, with mixed dark and white meat chicken. The meal came with two sides - we chose mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw - and six biscuits for $32.39. The spicy chicken sandwich cost $4.79 plus regular fries at $2.27 and the small fountain drink at $2.15. After taxes, the total cost for the meal was $44.72, ordered using the Uber app.I like Kentucky Fried Chicken, but I think Popeyes' chicken is crispier and tastier than KFC's Original Recipe fried chicken, in general. This chicken was yummy and hit the spot. Popeyes' sides are satisfying too and I appreciated the large sizes that came with the 12-piece family meal. The biscuits were both a tad too dry and salty, but still, I had no problem downing them. As for the sandwich - which was very popular and made headlines when it debuted in August 2019 - I enjoyed it as well. The sandwich wasn't as big as I remembered, but I wasn't complaining. I'd order it again. It was very comparable to the Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich. I continue to give the edge to CFA in the Chicken Sandwich Wars. The fries got a little soft from sitting, but we still demolished them. No flavor lost from the food delivery, just texture. Our driver, Wendy, got us our meal on time and she was nice. So, if you've never had Popeyes delivered via Uber Eats before, chalk this up as one good experience. Recommended.

I've seen the hubub about the chicken sandwich for years and thought, well maybe. Finally tried it today -- wow it is really really good! I'm sure everyone's read about it or tried it already. I was surprised how excellent it seemed compared to anything I've had before, and especially other fast-food joints along I-85.The restaurant was very busy (esp drive-thru) but the place was clean and they operated efficiently and politely. I was very impressed!
