FANTASTIC, my favorite brewery in town. It's one of those hidden gems. Several reasons:
1. Their beers are really really good, super high quality, super tasty
2. The space is really nice. I love the interior vibe and the backyard, especially when they have live music and events, but on a regular day is pretty nice too.
3. Also, if you have dogs, the backyard is great. I wish they allowed dogs inside, I'd be there all day if they did...though it is probably good for my kidneys that they don't. Dog owners will understand this ;-)
4. It's a little off the beaten path in a cool area of Durham with other business around (Ideals, Sophia's, Dame's Chichen and Waffles, etc) which to me makes it even more special
Great vibes (relaxing and chill atmosphere). 10/10 Will visit again 🤗🤗🤗
Great beer and atmosphere. Had all the football games on
Love this place. The drinks are good the staff is even better. The owner Mike is always friendly and they are constantly doing something new. This is easily my favorite brewery and the fact it’s the only black owned one in Durham it has a special place in my heart. I suggest this spot to everyone. It’s an east Durham gem.
A special thank you to the bartender that worked Saturday afternoon as I and 30 of my friends stopped by due to the power being out at ZincHouse Winery. Thank you for accommodating us, kind professionalism, and a great experience to wrap up my bday month! I highly recommend you stop by Proximity Brewing Company!
One of my favorite places to be! Pristine environment, exceptional service, and chill atmosphere. Perfect for Birthday parties and events!
Went Saturday for a quick stop, grabbed a few bears among the group. The peach sour wasn't sour, the nonalcoholic choice tasted weirdly like bubble gum. We were eating as well some sandwiches we brought, and there were gnat flies all over the place. The staff were very nice. New shop, good seating and ambience otherwise.
Horrible about responding. I placed an order online for merch, sent several follow up emails and called and no response about not receiving my order. It's been months and nothing.
This bar is a hidden gem! Great vibes, an awesome wine and beer selection, fun games, and the friendliest owner and bartenders. Perfect spot to relax and have a great time!
Seemed like a nice place but no dogs inside. Have a nice courtyard but it was raining so… No go for us…

It’s a little divey and vibey. Some locally brewed Durham beers(around 8-9) and some other local NC ones.
My daughter recently took me there while I am visiting from Detroit. It was one of the better experiences that I have had at a nightlife type of outing. The drinks were great and the other patrons were very warm and friendly!Shout out to Mike ,the owner and his staff for making me feel right at home!
The 4 Proximity beers we had were great: the Close Proximity, Proud Shoes, Blacktoberfest, and the black lager (sing recall the name). We will definitely be back.
Really cool place, enjoyed talking with a fellow bartender today.
Great beer, great vibes.
