Ugh had such high hopes for this place! I never leave reviews but felt compelled to make this one! After a long drive to Durham for my husband’s surgery … he wanted seafood prior to surgery. I found this place and the lobster rolls looked great!
Well… the service was good, very sweet waitress but the food was very disappointing! I questioned if it was even lobster. Can’t believe we paid $70+ for two lobster rolls, 2 drinks and an appetizer. The one picture shows what their lobster rolls look like on line and the other is what we got! Unbelievable!! We were starving and ready to go to bed for the upcoming cancer surgery in the am so we paid our bill and left. We will never come back to this restaurant.

Freshest oysters. Delicious lobster roll. Affordable. They do need 2 servers instead of just the 1 during their busiest hours, but she does her best. No complaints about our last meal in Durham here before flying back home.

1 star, 2 people present, waitress who wasn’t in no hurry but first question was visiting, yea hospital, eating,
taking to go, followed by look at guy,?cook, I didn’t question because of review(s) or stars with no others that seemed worthy close enough at time,
Husband had been at Duke University Hospital for couple weeks and had wanted fish, seeing their sign, Went in sitting at counter asked for menu, had to ask for drink, shrimp and fish plate with 2 sides and hush puppies $17.99
Asked for corn, 2(1each plate) given separate charged $4.99, fry & cole slaw, asked for fried macaroni bites, 6 for $3.99, returns out how about crab balls, ok, 6 for $13.99, and disgusting!
See mush that was crab ball but actually mushy bread with NOT CRAB, I have no idea but spit out the small bite taken, $80. Looks like half piece of fish but really greasy breading that the texture was on its second oil fry for reheating and the shrimp were greasy, old with last few left so he threw a few in one the remaining in the other. Had to ask for tartar sce, hot/temp, butter tasted like yellow or old cooking oil, and didn’t bother even sticking my finger in the cocktail sce. So if they have good food it must be people living in area, otherwise they know you won’t be returning so WTH ??

After coming here a few times I decided to try the wings as they are advertised as "whole breaded wings". This usually means the entire wing, but when I opened the box I'm there were separated part wings. I was shocked not only at the misunderstanding but the price as 7 were almost $20. Not sure if the recipe had changed, but I was disappointed as they didn't even seem hand breaded. Won't order that again

A great place for lunch. The waitress is the sweetest person. The food is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this Durham restaurant. It also has outdoor seating for when we have a nice day.

Atmosphere and service were great for a seafood spot. Lots of options. Boils, fried seafood, poboys, raw oysters, steamed and grilled. The flavors are all there and I enjoyed the food but I did have one issue. The shrimp weren't cleaned and I had to clean the poop out of each shrimp but after that it was good for what it was. This is why fried shrimp are a gamble..a lot of places won't clean the waste line from shrimp. Maybe others enjoy the flavor, but I do not.
