Sitar Indian Cuisine has been a favorite since the late '90s. The buffet, including desserts and chai, is consistently good. The manager, Ram, ensures a comfortable and happy dining experience. It's a great spot for date night, offering delicious options like Tikka Masala and spinach with tofu. Vegan diners will love the variety, with an all-vegan buffet available every other Thursday, which has been praised for its amazing quality and changing menu. The restaurant features a reserved area for the triangle vegetarian community, allowing guests to enjoy their meal comfortably even without company. The atmosphere is welcoming, with friendly staff attentive to customer needs. The weekend lunch buffet costs $22 and offers a good selection, from appetizers to desserts, including meatballs, beef, tandoori, kabab, poori, naan, dosa, idli, vada, biryani, mango shake, strawberry mojito, and around 10 desserts like gulab jamun, rasagulla, flan, payasam, rice pudding, barfis, and cakes. The place is spacious, with a separate bar section and space for celebrations. Service is attentive, with staff frequently checking if guests need anything and explaining menu items, creating a relaxed and well-maintained environment. While the taste with respect to spice and salt could be improved, dishes like butter tofu and tandoori are highlights, and overall, it is definitely worth a visit for good food and a friendly atmosphere.
