DELICIOUS! We tried the peppermint Christmas tree mousse and it made me dance in my seat with happiness. The most delicious treat I have had in a long time. My husband had the carrot cake and then bought another to take home! So so good. Of course grabbed a box of macarons before we left. Thank you for the sweet treats Shayda and crew!

I was having a girls day with friends and looking for somewhere very decadent and indulgent to get a little treat and this place certainly delivered on that.
Anyone whose been in Durham a while and remembers how delicious Francescas on 9th st was definitely needs to come check this place out because that's the level of quality these desserts have.

We have always loved Shayda's desserts, especially her macarons and carrot cake! When it came time to pick a bakery for our wedding, we knew exactly where to go! Shayda was so sweet and listened to everything we were looking for on the big day! We asked if she could make a specialty dessert from a family recipe and she made it happen! Everything tasted amazing and we couldn't have gone to a better bakery for our wedding day!
This is my wife's and my go-to spot for our birthday sweets. I normally grab the opera cake, carrot cake, and some sort of hazelnut thing that's absolutely divine. Branched into the macarons this year and was not disappointed!

Yum! How lucky are we in Durham to have such skilled pastry chefs locally? I can’t believe we can get delicacies like what’s available at Sweets by Shayla in downtown. I got three patisserie type desserts to share and each were exceptional - opera cake, pistachio strawberry rose torte, and carrot cake. What a hidden gem. I went for the first time today and I will certainly be back. Thank yall for being here!
